rumor is they're adding a companion that tells you what buttons to press during combat
mid of war 3 with the same exact combat system & torturously slow narrative-based gameplay

If we dont start out with the spear from 5 imma riot
The only new weapon that felt classic fluid in two titles
i sleep
give me uncharted 5. i wanna go on a new adventure with my nigga nate
inb4 "different studio" i know but i gotta push my agenda anywhere i can
More Norse stuff? Not really sure whaat more they could do with that whole thing, in though 2018 & Rag were so good.
Cool
Only bad part was that these teased a weapon in ads and promotion and you don't even get to use that f***ing weapon
kratos makes gow what it is, you're insane if you want his child taking over the main series. he can have a dlc, a side game, but gow always gotta be manned down by kratos
Kratos is the goat, but narratively, where do you even take him at this point? The guy has had 8 games and the last one wrapped up his entire story so cleanly, it seems like a disservice to wrap him back into stuff. The only thing that would make sense if there was another game is his death, but even that has been touched on too.
It would be cool as f*** to fight Anubis or something, but I think Kratos story is over

They were actually considering offing Kratos for Ragnarok, which they would bring him back to life for later in the game, but still.
It’s something they entertained, and still could possibly do

Atreus lacks the allure of Kratos is the issue. I'm not gonna say it'd be easy to replace a character like Kratos either.
He's got a goat voice, goat theme, his fighting style as well.
Atreus at this point isn't a strength fighter, he's more finesse, with fits with the whole Loki thing. Hard to imagine him as a mainstay really.
They get a GOW going in Egypt and they can end the series for good after that
People still don't realize they setup Atreus to take over as the main character in Ragnarok?
They should stop imo

I think they already ran into that issue in Ragnarok. His character arc basically comes to its culmination in GOW4 where he overcomes his rage & bloodlust and becomes a good father. Then he felt kinda aimless in Ragnarok where he just gets slowly dragged into this war he doesn’t want to be involved in. Made the narrative feel awkward to me.

Y’all really in here hating on GOD OF WAR?
I think they rushed the Norse saga to a close in Ragnarok, wish they went with 3 games instead of a 2 & gave us a more satisfying conclusion. The climax felt crazy rushed despite the game being pretty long.
The series also needs to add some layers to its gameplay. Hack & Slash + Puzzles worked out well in GOW4 because that game was short and sweet, but Ragnarok was a lot longer and I felt myself getting bored by the repetitiveness.

Facts and if they did do an Atreus solo outing they would have to make his gameplay a lot more interesting maybe similar to Aloy in horizon since he has the whole bow thing going have a whole bunch of different arrow types and a deeper skill tree
I’d def want the Egypt game over that though

I don't think they rushed it, Cory Balrog said he had the script finished before they even started developing the 2nd I'm pretty sure.
So, he seemingly had the story fleshed out, but I'm sure that could've changed. Who knows if he's even working on this one since he working on a new IP
