My god people weren't joking when they said the PC port of Automata is ass.

Took me forever just to get it running with the FAR mod without major dips & blurriness in 1440p on a TV.

Might try it in 4K, but I have it running perfect now

“Become as Gods” forgot how much better the level design & atmosphere is in Automata

Atmosphere top notch, the f***ing music too

It’s one of the very few games where it feels like they hit the nail on the apocalyptic setting

It feels so lonely but it’s the good kind of lonely

in a lot of ways replicant kinda feels like an upscaled ps2 game just in terms of quests/gameplay loop but idk there's something oddly therapeutic about just farming dumb s*** for an hour and finishing 5 quests

the port for replicant f***ing sucks too. they're great games so i can overlook it but square-enix has a history of bad pc ports.

Yeah but even then the og nier wasn't exactly a technical marvel. feels like it could prob have been done on the previous gen tech lol

oh yeah i agree. their budget was pretty low too from what i know.
