Made the mistake of playing both Niers back to back, now I'm questioning life

I mean the overall message of both games is still pretty inspiring. Very much "live this life while you can" so it's uplifting in that sense, but they also dont shy away from showing that the world is very much f***ed.

im playing automata again rn too and its a quicker, more enjoyable playthrough so far for the different endings

Yeah that got annoying

I haven't played the remake so idk if they changed it but in the original, if you have the phoenix spear you could rush through the combat sections quickly

spears in general were the best weapons in the game. i think it's more that automata's combat system is just more fun to experiment with which makes the repeated playthroughs less of a drag but this is just my opinion

I mean the fighting in Replicant isnt bad at all it's just very simple compared to what you can do in Automata
