A million illegally downloaded my Truth over the drums
Yuzu ran tears like s*** before it was released. I know this first hand
I loaded it right into my modded switch and it ran flawlessly.
But I’m sure the lawyers won’t show that. And I’m 100% positive a sizable chunk of that was people pirating to put on a modded switch

There have been similar cases historically but they never amounted to anything and emulators are still here, nothing to see here
Nintendo saying extracting keys from your own switch is illegal
Nintendo scarier than the IRS when it come to these lawsuits

99% of the time these modders or emulator people can’t afford a money draining legal battle with Nintendo
It’s just an effective way putting of people to pasture for Nintendo, a new one will pop up anyway
the worst company in gaming at it again (everyone will forget in a week)
Didnt know Activision Blizzard was the one suing yuzu

I agree, and i honestly find it stupid that they monetized the emulator through patreon. Yeah they have to be compensated for their work i agree, but that's just pointing a lighter to your whole thing for the big companies to see.
And i still think this wont mean anything for emulators and preservation in general so there's nothing to worry about
Just make a PC app Nintendo
Nintendo makes wayyy too much money from selling consoles to do that. Maybe in 30 years lol
It’s dead
