maybe it’s that women will also seek out music (whether thru wanting to listen to what they want to associate themselves with, being more selective than men who don’t feel the need to) — using the kitchen as a micro culture, the men will play either the radio on their speakers (or songs from the radio— eg hearing superstars every morning thru a streaming app, along with the same songs from a variety of 98.5 the beat eras) where women put in their AirPods and tbh they could also be listening to the radio but the desire to listen to their own thing over the community music is interesting. However the girls that work the line are all around their 20s (except the two latinas working prep, late 30s) and the men range from teens to damn near senior citizen.
