Honestly what does this ban look like though
You can never fully ban bias can you? Are they ever gonna do this but just for ugly/unattractive people lol? (Same thing I guess)
How you look is gonna effect how you’re seen
Not when it's objectively unhealthy or stigmatizing
If I got a tattoo on my forehead that reads "I Eat Ass" I'd expect to not be invited to the christmas card photoshoot, it comes with the territory
Again lol why does it being unhealthy for that person make that ok? And it being objectively stigmatizing doesn’t even make sense bruh
Neither is pretty much any addiction
wym
did you see my other post about beauty standards and lifestyle/hiring on page 3?
I don't really get the point of that tbh
Im well aware of the halo effect etc, doesnt mean that it shouldnt be discouraged lol
Are you saying it's hypocritical to enact this law because nobody is talking about discrimination based on height or facial asymmetry?
its overrr
This is what some people eat, let this sink in.
I always think ain’t no way mf’s in this country of America really eating s*** like this and Baconator’s but some folks actually do on a regular basis WILD
Again lol why does it being unhealthy for that person make that ok? And it being objectively stigmatizing doesn’t even make sense bruh
A forehead tattoo that reads I eat ass isn't objectively stigmatizing?
I didn't say it was morally good to treat these people differently, I'm just saying it comes with the territory and it's on you if you subject yourself to to that
shoutout Colorado tho lol
wym
Like it’s not good at a macro level to have an opioid epidemic either. Not to say it’s ok to discriminate against them either, but it’s poor logic to justify that because it’s “bad for society”

ya the difference is 40% of the country isn't addicted to opioids lol

How is being fat objectively stigmatizing?
'Mental health acceptance' has also gone too far. Surely going to catch some flack for saying this, but it's leading a whole idea of 'I can't do this because of _ (condition)'. It's totally okay to have mental issues, and breaking that barrier down in society was a good thing; however it's *YOUR JOB" as a person to handle it and get help. Lots of documentation on this lately:
https://www.rollingstone.com/culture/culture-features/wonderland-system-tiktok-dissociative-identity-disorder-1283571/
https://www.eviemagazine.com/post/faking-mental-illness-is-the-newest-terrible-tiktok-trend
It depends on the individual, severity, length, consistency, diagnosis etc.
I know for a fact that there are some people out here that have an anxiety attack once 2 months, who potentially with no symptoms of anxiety throughout their days until months leading up to that panic attack who might say they have panic disorder.
Then there are people that constantly in a panicked state every single moment for every single day for years on end, and solipsistically are trapped in a web of their own self-reflection while having no other inputs, and that person would also receive a panic disorder diagnosis.
It just depends, I don't like the whole acceptance of mental health s*** at some level because EVERYONE goes through s*** and has to learn to self-regulate and deal with their own emotions. It's whether or not what you've got is so crippling that you have no other option.
Like I don't get mad at a homeless person with schizophrenia the same way I get mad at some cute tiktok girl that got broken up with once goes through a "bipolar episode" then basically goes on a romp then says "I don't know what come over me".
It's different for everyone
ya the difference is 40% of the country isn't addicted to opioids lol
we might be getting there soon
ya the difference is 40% of the country isn't addicted to opioids lol
Can’t say the same about alcohol lol. I don’t get your point at all
How is being fat objectively stigmatizing?
This can't be a serious question
This can't be a serious question
It’s only stigmatizing cause ppl like you lmao. You’re acting like it’s something that is human nature to discriminate against
This can't be a serious question
It's culturally dependent, so the last thing it can be is objective
Nah but fr people get stoopid when it comes to fat people
Just bc there's a loud minority of cacs on tiktok being weird saying it's fatphobic to go to the gym doesnt mean fatphobia isn't a thing in most of the countries ktt2 posters are from
It's not for no reason that countries in the global south have more cases of anorexia the more they're exposed to westoid media
They really saying that?
