I would be remiss not to share any bit of info at my disposal regarding We Buy Diabetic Test Strips - in addition to absolutely f***in killing the set tonight, ELUCID opened by playing some new s***: (what I think was) Woke Up and Asked Siri How I’m Gonna Die

First of all that s*** was f***ing hard as hell!!! Armand Hammer at their glitchiest. And was that the “I really like JPEGs” tag I heard, or do my ears deceive me? 👀

both of them floated over Barbarians, so in for more peggy x AH

Did woods really coin “give men freedom, they’ll beg for chains”? Not that I wouldn’t believe it if you told me so, quite the opposite

Neither here nor there - Sketch185 headlines a show at the excellent Queens venue TV Eye tomorrow night. $15 at the door, his set is well worth your time and money

I've thought about this too. One of the cleanest sentences I've ever heard

Sounds like front-flipping into a vat of acid. Can’t f***ing wait to hear the rest of this, the production credits look flagrantly appealing

The album features live instrumentation (including flute from the Comet is Coming’s Shabaka Hutchings) and production from JPEGMAFIA, EL-P, Kenny Segal, Black Noi$e, Preservation, August Fanon, Steel Tipped Dove, Child Actor and Sebb Bash

    The Nelsons with another one

Can see the credits detailed. JPEGMAFIA all over it. El-P beat. ELUCID co-production credit.

Elucid shared a statement on the process of recording the album:

“This sort of reverse engineering of talented players who met for the first time in the studio jamming to pre-recorded beats before splintering off into new directions. Being in the room quietly watching 4 people fumble around each other's sonic worlds before finally locking into a solid groove was a clear and obvious magical moment for me.”

    El-P and jpg on beats

    armand hammer never miss

  • F***ing pumped for how many noise/industrial/hardcore or adjacent genre artists are in these credits

    The drummer for Black Dice

Any idea why this isn’t in Backwoodz?

You mean like the merch/record preorder? Looks like Fat Possum is handling all that “exclusively” from their website, maybe pressing all these diff versions of the album necessitated a different distribution deal

Did previous Armand Hammer/woods/Elucid drops ever get sent directly to retailers? Even Maps, I didn’t see in stores when I went looking for it

    4 jpeg produced songs omfg

Ah man, London tour date in such an annoying to get to spot. And then there's a signing, do I pay £56, get a record and get it signed?

  • I wasn't hip to Armand or Woods when Peggy dropped LP. So maybe my 1st exposure to them was the diss. Or getting an LP produced by Alc maybe. Nonetheless, I am excited as hell they patched s*** up. Gonna watch this video here in a second too

  • Another thing I am stoked for is the dude from Soul Glo's feature spot
