For sure. Excited to see the direction this goes in after Paraffin. Think this is gonna double down on the aggressiveness. Especially seeing the Moor Mother and Nosaj features.

Can you tell me were to start with those artists?
I like elucid more noisier side, the death grips ish sounf that he does like furhman tapes any genre recs would bw okay

I dont listen to too much of it myself. Haven't found myself in a Death Grips-esque phase for a little while. But I've checked out Moor Mother in the past and both her albums are great for that kinda sound. Not as familiar with Nosaj but his group is called New Kingdom. He's also released two short ep's recently with Steel Tipped Dove which are in a similar heavy vein.

In terms of noisy hiphop style stuff I tend to get most of my mileage from people like woods and Elucid. Quelle's got some great cuts that are pretty abrasive. Shabazz Palaces. King Krule. Akai Solo's older stuff in particular has that kinda sound. Slauson Malone. Lil Ugly Mane. The new Zeroh album is really good for that too.

Shrapknel is worth a listen too. They released their first full length recently fully produced by Elucid. Its Curly Castro and PremRock of Backwoodz.

I don't think woods' genius needs validation from academia, tho I understand your sentiment. I think breakdowns and appreciation posts on forums like these are well-received because we're fans of his in the first place

I feel you. I guess what I’m saying is that anyone can write a good a***ysis piece, it needn’t come from a scholar necessarily. Like that one on reddit, for example, is thorough and intriguing I think

yes it is very well written, i meant if somebody breaks down the technicality that woods uses it would be very informative and would give a new outlook to look at the art.

I hear you bro. What’s your first language? Why not write it in your native and then try to get it translated?
