Can you get significant gains without a real routine and schedule? For instance, can you just go in, work on whatever you feel like, and make significant progress, given you have enough protein intake?

This is what I did for the first 2 years and I got pretty good gains. Probably not the amount that id receive if I had a solid routine/plan though but still
have no problem building up decent pecs but my actual chest width is s***
body still looks like a long rectangle without a pump

Yes absolutely - under two or three conditions.
1) Being an absolute beginner, resistance training will yield results essentially no matter what as long as you eat and sleep.
2) You have insane genetics - see SJJ Bobb for an example, he doesn’t program at all.
3) You track your progress and apply progressive overload. For instance, rather than having a program you might f*** around but you do more than you did before. Benched 135 for 3x5 last time? Do 140 this time, or maybe 4x6 at 135. No matter what you do add either weight or volume. You will see results.
Ate fast food last night after moving a s***load or furniture. Still tryna drop to 180 before the end of the year, but it aint looking good.
Good news is im benching 195, so 205 looking really doable before new years
feeling guilty af for skipping so many days
this 9-5 really killing me, i dont even feel like going to the gym latelly
Kinda want to drop 20 lbs but kinda want to keep getting stronger on lifts I cant choose
feeling guilty after a cheat meal<<<
I limit mine to 2 a week, maybe 3 and I’ll cut down on calories that day

You need to sleep more and get enough protein to recover. That’s why you’re so sore either that or you’re not working out regularly
After Thanksgiving ima try
Can’t wait to carb up omg 😩
Definitely gonna hit the gym that day though before I eat

I started working out regularly about a month ago and I haven’t really upped the intensity too much since then. It’s just been this past week that’s been hell on my body.
My sleeping schedule been erratic though so I guess it could be that

Yeah you gotta sleep, can’t be working out and sleeping 4 hours and s*** you’re gonna be sore
Bro the scale says I weight 77 kg. Just like i did 2 years go. Back then i was fat as f*** tho, didnt work out, just ate. now i dont even feel fat like that. I gained muscle weight which is probably why. Back then i had a lot more fat that i do now tho. anyways I find it weird that I can weight the same but dont look the same body wise.
