Square Enix is hosting a Adventures of Dai Infinity Strash stream. The Voice Actors for Dai and Popp will be on the stream. Fully expecting new gameplay and potentially a release date since it's supposed to come this fall.
Ys X Preview
The new mechanic around doing combos with the new party member looks really cool; also really like her design. Hope we don't have to wait too long for the port

!https://youtu.be/9ZfSyTWd-vcFinished Live A Live; very streamlined and well paced JRPG. I enjoyed the episodic structure of the game with each chapter exploring a different time period and having its own style and tone, though combat fell flat for me most of the time with the game not doing much with its movement or positioning mechanics.
Odio was the highlight of Live A Live. Having the main antagonist be the eternal manifestation of hatred works really well in a nonlinear narrative like this by thematically linking these disparate stories together. The Distant Future and Middle Ages chapters were my favourites as they had the most interesting scenarios and were the most effective at communicating the themes of the game.
I know Live A Live was a precursor to Chrono Trigger but I wouldn’t be surprised if the game was referenced during the development of 13 Sentinels as well since they’re both nonlinear narratives taking place across different time periods.

i've seen some criticism for the Distant Future chapter because of its visual novel type style but i loved it as well, the intense and dark atmosphere made it feel pretty unique too
but Wild West might be my favorite overall
i've enjoyed every single combat though, so much so that i don't remember using the stealth skill in Edo Japan even once because fighting was just so much fun

The Wild West was my favorite part on SNES. Can't wait for this port.

The thriller/horror style of the Distant Future is exactly why it’s one of my favourites. The conflict between the crew unfolding inside this haunted house in space was really engaging. Darthe’s character arc was also really well done.
I enjoyed the Wild West as well, particularly the cast of Success. Retro games tend to have very bare scripts because of technical limitations and it’s always a mild sticking point for me but Live a Live manages to pull a lot out of its characters despite this.
LAL may be what I do after FFXVI
After FF waiting for Reverie on July 7th then Sea of Stars Aug 29
Diablo in between releases. Maybe play Jedi survivor to pass some time too

Reverie clears anything that's gonna come out this year for me, by far. I guess it is my all time favorite game though, so kinda unfair. Excited to play it in complete English in a month.
Been really into dungeon crawlers lately anyone ever play Undernauts Labyrinth of Yomi or Stranger of Sword City?
