if you do want to sell beats / make beats professionally the industry has a standard. Use your creativity to fit that standard, it will help you it's not something old or dried out this music stuff is still a Buisness. Otherwise continue to make music in your room for the love of it and expect nothing from it.

Listen to the songs on the radio the big hits, listen to the songs at your local parties, listen to the songs getting played at your strip clubs, listen to the songs being played at the bars and everywhere else, what do they have in common.

How can you use this in order to sell more and reach more people.
