@Yevin @husky my monitor is 2560 x 1440 165 hz and I was planning on getting a 1920 x 1080 240 hz strictly for competitive gaming, but the difference in refresh rates might be a problem, so idk what to do
I dont have a 240hz myself buy i hear the difference isnt as noticeable going from 144/165 to 240 as it is going from a 60hz to 240
mb just saw this. as much as i love 1440p gaming, if you don't plan having a top tier gpu all the time i'd go with a 1080p 144hz monitor for gaming. or 240 hz w/e. even if you do plan on having a top tier gpu i'd still rather get a 1080p for gaming. idk, i realized i'm not the biggest fan of my 1440p 144hz when i can't get 144 fps on ultra in cod/rdr2/etc. it can be a struggle to even get 1440p 60 fps on ultra/high with a lot of games. if you got any more questions lmk.
still love my dell 27" tho to everyone who has one 😂
I have a 2080 super. It's not the best. It's the second or third best idk but I don't plan on upgrading anytime soon tbh. I'm more focused on 2k gaming but I heard 240 hz 1080 is as smooth as butter

oh yeah you're good. get that 1080 240hz. my 2070 super handles 1080p graciously so a 2080 super is definitely butter. it'll be great for a while.

I'm gonna mostly use my 1440 for YouTube, streams, movies, etc. And the 1080 for gaming. I'm set.
What made you decide to go with the transparent aesthetic for your PC build? I love the clean look

thanks. i'd always wanted this case since the first time i'd seen it. just love how minimal it is. no worrying about exhaust/intake fans, just aio and go. also i figured if i didn't want rgb fans and flashy what not, i was going for something that just looks clean. and i wanted to end game a case.
how it looks without the glass (sorry for hair strand/dust is from my previous build lul)
much thinner looking.

it's not really my style , but I can't front, the minimalist design is pure class, but doesn't get very dusty?
I pretty much based my aesthetics from this build....
I'm a sucker for the black / white ghostly aesthetic

damn that mf cold (both ways)
surprised how clean the wiring is with that many fans.
what mobo is that?
also idk how but i still don't see any dust on mines. can't explain why i was definitely expecting dust.
if you got a pic of that closed up post that too. really like that case espec the glass on top

fr. yes, cable management is ridiculous when you have hella fans.
the mobo is Asus STRIX B350-F. the mobo i'm still waiting to get is a MSI MPG X570 GAMING PRO CARBON WIFI
that's amazing. you'd think a pc like that would gather so much dust because of that open case
tempered glass is beautiful
So I had a super ed moment and messed up BIG TIME!
My AMD Ryzen 9 isn't compatible with my ROG Extreme Encore Motherboard, which uses Intel LGA2066 Sockets. I bought the CPU on Newegg and missed the refund period my literally two days.
What are my options now, how efficient is Best Buy or Amazon Trade-In?

why didn't you use pcpartpicker to check compatibility first?

I did, they said the parts were compatible. I swear to God.

Man the socket type is like the one thing you need to check on a motherboard lmao.
You can probably resell the cpu for close to the price you paid for considering its brand new, and buy another intel

I know man, I'm super embarrassed by the fact that I overlooked this.
@husky Just saw a build with a case similar to yours, Thermaltake Core P3 case? Idk if you have the same model, but like I said before, Pure class

yee that's the case. this build inspired it, was it this? plan on getting the gpu cooler too but not in a rush. white mobo too at some point.

a gpu cooler? you mean a case fan? I've heard of cpu cooler but never gpu cooler before
white mobos are so damn hard to come by
this was the build /setup

jesus that's fire.. might have to take from that. and naw the nzxt thing you see is basically a mount so you can put a cpu cooler on your gpu.

Why do GPU's have to be so expensive, I don’t like to compromise a whole lot
Get an OP CPU and upgrade GPU over the years.

Just wait till around october, Nvidia and AMD should both be dropping bangers which means it'll hopefully be cheaper

Update on the CPU situation
I was able to call Newegg and they agreed to give a refund the AMD Ryzen 9, despite going over the 30 return policy. But I can only get store credit, and they have to approve the condition the CPU.
Which is fine by me, better than nothing. I ordered this in the meantime: newegg.com/core-i9-x-series-intel-core-i9-9940x/p/N82E16819117964?Item=9SIA25V8PE4871
