Why do GPU's have to be so expensive, I don’t like to compromise a whole lot
bc the considerably wealthy still use GPU's to mine altcoins as a "hobby".
the 3080 looks so fire

older AMD cards are much more profitable for mining and most miners use them, some miners use older 10 series cards but most use AMD and AMD still has a lower resale value
there is still some money in GPU mining but most of it has dried up unless you have a way of getting very cheap power
the high end nvidia stuff is overpriced because nvidia has had no competition for years and it seems like AMD will put prices nearly as high as Nvidia now
at least next gen GPUs should be a bigger performance leap which is happening because of the competition between Ampere and RDNA2
RMA on my mobo is coming in on wednesday. gonna find out if my 3600 still works or not.
wish me luck boys

Graphics card just died. Was planning on building a new pc sometime this year but not this soon.
AMD 390, served me well. Been about 5 years now, since before Pablo era.
Think ima get a decent card this week since I'll repurpose this pc anyway, and also start looking at the full build too.
Grabbed a 1660 Super to hold me off til the winter full rebuild.
But I think I might upgrade my monitor sooner. I’d like something that’s 4K compatible for movies but it’ll be used mostly for gaming. Any recommendations?
Painted my side panels to my PC started sanding my panels with 800 grit sandpaper and then went over it with self etching primer and let it cook for 2 hours in the sun. Went back over it with wet sandpaper and a sponge and smoothed out the imperfections prepping it for 2 coats of base paint and one coat of clear gloss let it sit outside all day yesterday.
fast forward to today i used 2 compound polish passes and 3 polywax compound passes and buffed the panels individually and ended up with this result.
Louqe going crazy with the case addons.

probably selling my pc if cyberpunk doesn't do it for me
might've used it a combined 1 hour in the last 30 days

If I want to cop a monitor to use with my PS4, is it worth shelling out an extra $50+ for an IPS monitor over a TN?
