Def sounds like a hdd/ssd problem, could be wrong though
yeah seems the most likely if its just locking up once he hits the OS

it ran in safe mode fine
it ran in safe mode fine
if it's running fine in safe mode for a while it probably isn't the SSD then
I'd try and reinstall the OS if you have a good backup
it could just be some system files that got f***ed
well some good news in safe mode i did a clean boot restarted and it booted in normally so it must a third party program that got f***ed up and its locking my s*** up when windows try to starts now just gotta figure out what it is
ok so as far as hardware goes its def some with the gpu i have had my graphics card out while diagnosing and was just using the onboard graphics and was still having a ton of issues but when i put my graphics card in it doesnt even go past the boot screen freezes there
Hmm gimme some more desktop CPU's Intel... The laptop stuff is good too though
Oh and this is nice too...
so i've figured out with the problem is its the onboard gpu intel hd 4600 once i deleted the driver in safe mode the pc boots fine normally now im afriad of updating that intel driver tho

sounds like the Mobo but if you can just disable the iGPU in device manager and use your GPU you maybe fine
you don't need the iGPU (Intel GPU on the CPU) for anything if you have another GPU
Don't wanna jinx it but i think i fixed it just turned on normal boot back and restarted actually works im able to boot into my normal mode consistently now some dude on reddit said to unplug computer and hold the power button down for 30 seconds may of been the final fix
My graphics card still crashing immediately at bios splash screen when i connect it and windows still doesnt shut down correctly the monitor turns off keyboard and mouse goes off but motherboard and cpu fan stays on for some reason so ima try to run linux off a usb to see if my gpu works with that then i'll know if its windows or a hardware issue
Yeah this sounds like I wanna wait for HBM3E or even HBM4 as this is slower than the PS5 and that's not how it should be on PC. So how long will I have to wait? 2023... Or later? Maybe earlier hopefully as in 2022!
is now a good time to buy an intel cpu? or are they coming out with new ones soon?

Alder Lake sounds like it might be good so I would say wait until it's out sometime between October-December 2021
Damn I could sell my PC for almost twice what I got for all of it last February
Crazy times
Just got my new custom build water cooled PC
Ryzen 9 5900X
X750 ROG Dark Hero Mortherboard
Trident Z Neo Series 64GB RAM
Ryou 240 Water Cooling Kit
Corsair 1000x 1000 Watt Fully Modular Power Supply
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti 12GB
Samsung 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD
man i just got a 24g2u monitor and i just remembered how frustrating it is to calibrate monitor colours always feels like something is off. I wish the hardware calibrators were cheap
hopefully the windows scheduler is getting an overhaul for the new Intel/AMD CPU designs coming
when AMD Zen came out it was a trainwreck, I'm honestly concerned the new designs will work badly for the first few months or years for gaming unless MS patches it really well prior to release this time
I'd assume they would, considering Zen was not popular at first it makes sense it wouldn't be as polished

I hope so fam. The gaming part needs to get a big update too as I say it's one of the Top 5 things important when people do get a PC or do build one. I hope that this won't bother people a lot just like Windows Vista and 8 did. Anyway I hope that everything is sorted out by 2022 as it's the year where I hopefully can start building my new PC

yeah it should be pretty stable by then I imagine
nice nice
I'm really just waiting to see the new GPUs next year, we should be getting all new Chipsets for mobos from AMD and Intel
these new CPUs will be DDR5 only I'm hearing.. which sucks DDR5 isn't going to be faster the first 12-24 months but it will cost 2-3x but it makes sense they gotta switch at some point and I guess doing both types like they use to do is hard for some reason
I'm sticking with my computer for 3 more years it's my favorite PC I've built honestly love the size and look.. I really just wanna upgrade the GPU to something faster and watercooled so its not like I care anyways about the RAM personally but it just seems annoying, cost of having the latest tech tho

Oh yeah you just reminded me of why it'll be a better idea to build a PC by 2022. One of the things is DDR5 been part of more motherboards and then also Windows 11 Pro been sold via retailers (Online and in person ones), Microsoft etc. by early 2022. Also the first DDR5 RAM sticks should be out this year actually so I hope what you're saying means 1-2 years starting from when they're out in 2021 and not 2022.
Also I hope Samsung will by then be releasing some more NVME M.2 SSD's as they're the best usually and well I don't want to have to get a Seagate one although they shouldn't be too bad... But for some reason so do I prefer the Samsung ones usually unless someday so does Sony make one. But that speed of the new Seagate Firecude 530 is impressive when it's about the write speed (7.3 GB's/s)...
But not the read one so far as the one the PS5 has is still faster so I hope that something even faster is out by early-mid 2022 hopefully... Or well Q3-Q4 2022 at least.
But regardless of how long it'll take so do I hope both software and hardware wise so will 2022 be a memorable year for me overall and in this case in regards to my PC experience as this will be the first PC that I'll get to build myself and tbh I am very excited about it
