How much more can a super even improve? The 80 Ti is already barely an improvement and it’s just as fast as the 90. What is a super going to improve?

Well not much if you do already own a RTX 3080 Ti... But if it's better when the specifications for the RTX 3080 Super do get leaked or revealed so will we see if it's worth it or not
And I hope that there will be a RTX 3090 Ti or Super

90 Super would be the only thing worth it, depending on how much better it is. 3090 is currently seen as a work GPU, so unless you’re doing like video editing and graphics work you don’t really need a 3090 they’re only selling out now cause the shortage.
It’ll be a hard sell to get people to buy a $3k 3090 Super.

Well yeah I'll be using it for other stuff than gaming... But a RTX 3090 Ti or Super is the GPU I am looking forward to getting instead of a RTX 3080 Ti or Super as I want the overall best GPU to have. But the RTX 4090 will be out by the time I do start building my new PC so I hope it's possible to get a new GPU by then without waiting weeks or months to be able to finally get one :/

clickbait and fake news it seems
some states will force all prebuilts to be certified and have special power supplies that cost a little more money (less than the power it's calculated to save) and use less energy during idle
it effects all prebuilts from my understanding they have guidelines even for tiny builds, you get a bigger power budget for a larger system
just not all prebuilt companies have these power supplies yet

Edit:
Cause i built my first ever pc last summer and may evvvventually wanna upgrade my rx 570 :P

yeah I live in one of the states listed so I was very curious, seemed so vague from the early stuff reported smh

I was VERY curious too.
Seemed unlikely tho, with leisure vehicles, quads and boats being a thing i really couldnt imagine them doing this for gpus

yeah seemed far fetched

Nvidia & AMD are milking people, feel like this card would have been $250 earlier last year

everyone shoudv'e honestly held off on getting a new gpu this past year.
We let these companies know that what we WILL pay

i'd give it about 2 years until raytracing stops being a novelty and more of a standard for prices to normalize again

@dax
yeah true to both those things but also I feel like it's just a simple supply and demand issue
between more gamers, more people stuck inside, capacitors and other parts being in short supply, crypto miners, tariffs etc
just kinda makes sense prices are higher, I think once these cards sit on shelves for 12 months after eBay is overrun with used cards they will bring prices down, happened after 2012 and 2017 mining booms
but that depends on the stuff I listed above so it could be another year before that s*** is solved
prices definitely are trending up faster than inflation though, I feel like part of that is GPUs getting bigger size wise to keep up with Moores Law dying and AMD/Nvidia getting greedier, their markup use to be far less 10 years ago
Damn over 400W? Yeah my PSU needs to be a 850W one at least... Oh well I'll get one that's the best to get and has the most Watt and then be good for awhile
