It's not microgreens specifically but all plants. Nearly every single plant contains all the amino acids in some level. So the combination of a dozen different plants in a salad can actually have some noticeable protein.
Imma ask my wife to hook me up with the site she used and also ask why it was only the microgreens she crossed out on that slide btw
And yeah when you tryna hit those real high levels of protein and you're not rockin with tofu, seitan, tempeh, etc. you're gonna have to hit the powder, no two ways about it.
ppl preaching abt love n kindness during the holidays as they dig into a corpse got me heated

What are your thoughts on vegetarianism?

A step in the right direction, but not the destination. It still excuses animal cruelty on a fundamental level which is antithetical to veganism since veganism it is based upon ethics rather than the health or environmental aspect.

Excuse my ignorance but I’m assuming you mean like the treatment of the animals or are you referring to the method that is used to gather like the milk, honey, etc??

It's both really. Even if they were treated in the most humane way possible, it's still not ethically right because they are sentient beings not resources. They deserve a life of dignity, free from undue pain and suffering just in the same way a dog, turtle, or a pigeon is.

@plants what protein powder do you use?

I use Huel black edition. Bit pricey and it's not strictly a protein powder, more of a meal replacement but with high protein. But I like that it has so many vitamins and minerals. I only use a half serving a day, mixed with soy milk it comes to ~30g protein in a small shake. Since I'm not aiming for super high protein, 80-100g is good enough for me and with that 30g boost I hit my mark most days.

Thanks. Is it tasty?
Thanks. Is it tasty?
I've had much worse stuff I'll say that. I wouldn't call it tasty, but it's certainly not bad imo. I've only gotten the vanilla btw
I also have to just eat more to try and put on weight. Always have been skinny and I don't want to be anymore..

This is what I’m trying to do as well. I’m hella skinny, I’m starting to eat more also hitting the gym to turn that into muscle while I’m putting on weight.
I‘m going to try this for 30 days, i already enjoy quite a few vegan products, shouldn’t be too hard
What do you have for breakfast?
oatmeal with blue berries, protein powder, cashews, cinnamon and oat milk
Been fully plant based for 2 years and its been great but I still have those weird convos about it when i go out eating and it is annoying. My parents literally scared i am in a cult or something...
I wouldn't call me vegan though as i still have leather stuff and use them, because i had them before and dont want get rid of them. I just don't eat animal products.
Vegan options are so good man. I dont get it how people can't switch over

For real, what really got me considering the switch to begin with was how good the food my girlfriend was making. Then one day i went home and watched some videos and did some reading and woke up the next day vegan. never went back. one of the hardest parts fr is the social aspect like you said, other ppl just don't understand
Need to find more ways to increase my protein
Tempeh
