Is Jay even known in areas like Israel and Switzerland and s***? Those worldwide areas? Not trolling.

50 and Em are known on that scale

Idk but on the other side of town “Build your fences, we digging tunnels!” rings off

Lol, Americans (and sub-urbanites) from developed countries are so self-centered.

it’s not as if israel are cut off from general popular culture ..

even if it’s mostly as Beyoncé’s husband I guarantee you he’s well known there

Of course not, especially with the internet and social media being what it is.

leave me alone bro u being negative im not in da mood for that

nah yall gotta stop living in these little boxes fr

  • But I think from a pop consumption and commercial aspect, probably Eminem has a bigger footprint if we’re being honest.

But I would take the fruit off of Jay-Z’s tree and his presence in the actual realm over Eminem. Full disclosure tho, I don’t really like Eminem’s music but I admit it has a huge audience.

Once the 2010s hit Eminem had that wave of Tyler, The Creator, Earl, Logic etc and in the later 2010s ppl like JuiceWRLD and XXXTENTACION.

I can't really think of rappers in the 2010s wanting to sound like Jay outside of Drake. And he's probably the biggest one.

I'd say that Em was still putting work like crazy and was still hungry in the 10s. Jay was an OG and let everyone know he was an OG when the 10s hit, Even in his OG era though,he still made better music then 10s Em.

Yeah i'm definitely not arguing their output cause 4:44 is better than anything Em has dropped in the 2010s by a country mile

I’d say it’s Jay his bars almost get quoted as much as he used to quote Biggie lines

Yeah I thought that Jamal Crawford clip was odd because Em has influenced Chance Kendrick and Cole just off top maybe even JID

Hov has grandfathered influence via Drake Ye and Wayne but arguably Em has more impact on the game right now. We just like Hov more

Influence is impact but not all forms of impact has to do with being influential. I think Em has a higher case of being more impactful than ya letting on itt

Although I still think it's hov

Jay Z has more influence over eminem period em came out the gate making horrorcore

Jay Z has more influence in detroit than Eminem example: Payroll Giovanni Boldy James etc

why is sada baby and all these new detroit rappers saying they don’t play Em music like that? go to brooklyn and ask a new rapper like Fivio Foreign about Hov you won’t get the same response

Because they don't make the same type of music? Its like wondering why Soulja Boy doesn't consider Nas an influence.

Any horror core, shock value, emo rap, pill popping rapper (or recently, rappity rap nigga) cites Em as an influence. You just choosing slick talk/hustler types as an example.
