Does anyone else hate this term? Like what the f*** does it actually mean? People who aren’t white? So most of the World? I hate it when people say to support “people of color” like support who? Asians? Indians? Black ppl? Latinos? It makes no sense.
yes. anyone whos not white how is that confusing to you
My point is that most of the Earth is not white so how does saying “support people of color” make any sense. Just by existing you’re already most likely supporting a “person of color”. By buying a PS4 you’re supporting “people of color”. By buying a Samsung phone you’re supporting “people of color”. The term is so broad it makes no logical sense.

Bro. Most minorities don’t consider Asians actual minorities because they’re just as successful as whites.
It would go against their victim mentality to acknowledge Asians as a minority group.

You would think so right? But I have heard plenty of people call Asians “people of color”. And what about Indians? A good percentage of Indians HATE black people with a passion. Are they also “people of color”? You’re starting to see my point. The term is ridiculous and way too broad that’s why I will never call myself a person of color.
Is white not a color tho?
White people got more colors than a black man ever will
Fr think about it white people turn purple, blue, red, white orange and even can black yet they calling us the people of color.
And people of color is only used to brand all minorities together like we some cattle.
I hate when someone says something about black issues and some motherfucker comes back with some answer about “people of color” like no black issues are different than the rest of those other issues
i think the term exists to highlight recent history (of the “west”) as boiling down to white people colonizing/exploiting non-white people
hence the binary of whites and people of color
like other posters said it gets muddy when supposed people of color hold positions of privilege today, but i think it’s important to make the distinction since a lot of things really do just run skin-deep
i’m also kind of skeptical of people trying to lump all minorities together as if our experiences are a***ogous to each other, but i guess it’s in pursuit of solidarity (which sounds good on paper but is hard to actually achieve)
Is white not a color tho?
actually
the color black means that there is no color while white means every color
so in a way black people arent of color
or am i tripping?

asian people aren’t people of color, if so then you might as well include Slavs.
Serious question, am I wrong?
"People of color are oppressed by the evil white man!"
Is the narrative I always see by people who use the term
People who refer to themselves (and others) as people if color deserve public floggings

Avy to post

when people say white they almost always talk about the american caucasians
real caucasians arent always white but america is kinda slow

That’s exactly what I’m saying man it’s bullshit. You can’t just make a blanket statement like that. You can’t compare any struggle to the black struggle. It pisses me off that people think we have something in common because they’re also not white. It’s ridiculous.
