Not a Drake stan but I sort of see what OP is saying.

People have been wanting Drake to "go conscious" for example but there's a segment of the conscious community that's very critical of mixed people or non-Americans speaking on Black American issues.

Since Drake is both and a child actor on top of that, it's basically setting him up to be trapped and they probably know this.

It's not that Drake doesn't experiment. It's just that his attempts at experimentation are generally vapid and bland. It's not bad but it doesn't really showcase his artistry either.

I'm not too concerned over Drake evolving or experimenting. I just need that "0 to 100" type of hunger combined with IYRTITL type consistency from him.
