I think I put 80 hours into it and that was with trying to complete the Pokédex.

The finalised squad for my first play through & I finally started playing last week. I did have a Froslass for a long time until I finally found an Impidimp that I caught earlier today, can't wait for it to evolve into a beast ass Grimmsnarl.

Wanted a Frosmoth, but you can't get a Snom until way later in the game SMH

Jolteon is my fav Pokemon of all time, & I was planning to have a team of all new gen, but he ended up on my team cuz I couldnt resist Eevee lmao.

The game is amazing tbh & I'm only 3 badges in. Might be a top 3 Pokemon game for me. I'm not too crazy on most of the new pokemon designs outside like 10 or so (I love all the final evo designs of the one's on my team for example), but the game & region itself is really dope.

Glad I ended up picking it up still regardless of the controversies. So much of it is what I always imagined Pokemon to be.

Snom is hard to evolve anyway. I wonder if you're still playing cause the game slows down and rushes through after the third badge.

Frosmoth is so great tho, wish snom was earlier in game then it would be easy to max its friendship through battles & camp

Just finished the post story yesterday, I have Pokemon Shield.

It did start going a lot quicker with mostly shorter routes after gym 4, but I didnt feel it was being rushed until after Circhester. I really wanted to explore some places like Piers' place & the castle where Rathian is. The random out of nowhere Oleana "evil" team towards the end was the only real dumb & legitimate halfassed feeling thing to me. It was so unnecessary & made no sense lmao, would have made more sense if it happened DURING the day he was trying to wake up the 3rd legendary. I also really like the personal camp & raids, dynamaxing is also fun.

The first 4 badges is a long journey tho. Getting to Milo the first gym took so long too, it was great but surprising. The longest journey to the first gym in any pokemon game by far.

By the time I fought the champion my Pokemon were in the 70s with 40ish hours in. Same team as my pic.

I still like it a lot & think it's still a least top 5. If the pace continued like gym 1 to 4 & if the routes continued to be like the areas during gym 1 through 6 then it would easily be top 3 no contest as an adventure imo, but I can see people still putting it in top 3.
It's so close imo to being the "ideal" pokemon game within the bounds of what Pokemon has been so far. Very excited for the next mainland one.

Rn I'm building my competitive doubles team for online & its almost finished training. Appletun, Corviknight, Centiskroch, Gyarados, Hippowdown & Jolteon. I'm already thinking of a back up team too for doubles

Ehhh idk how long you've been playing the series but I wouldn't say these are close at all to a ideal game. It's so much they removed from the game some much unnecessary hand holding elements added. It damn sure it's close to the ideal home console Pokemon game. The online features are garbage. Just flat out terrible. It was no reason to remove the basic trading and battling system for codes that anyone can use smh. Then the 20 min battle timer for 6v6 battles and the removal of custom battles

The wild area is broken I lost interest in it once I learned you can cheese the battles and abuse RNG.

The story is the only good thing about the game but the lead up from the 5th badge to the end game was so rushed. When you do the gauntlet for the tournament I forgot the ice gym leader was a thing its a good foot print to start on home consoles but man they have work to do.

Def agree on stability. Ive played every pokemon since the ogs except for the sun/moon era, the stability is bad in this one.

I love the quality of life stuff they've done for competitive, but the UI feed fpr online info such as raid dens etc. is terrible & how it can only handle one thing at a time.

This is random & a tough request, but do u have an IV competitive Milotic u might be able to trade. I can give you one of my Gigantamx pokemon or sumn. I have Sandaconda, Drednaw, Coviknight, Butterfree & Snorlaxas gigagantas.

Really wish Mienshao, Salamence, Volcarona, Electivire, Houndoom, Starmie, Lycanroc Day, Metagross & Aggron were in here.

If some of them are too OP for gigantamaxing in competitive, then they should just blacklist them from online like legendaries but keep them for raids & single player smh.
