Only thing that I’m worried about the DLC....
I’m assuming there’s new gyms/trainers to fight.... at least I hope there is....
But if you got a team of Lvl 100 Mon’s...... are you just gonna steamroll everything?

It's just extra story content. There is no need gyms. The first have to follow the story of the bear legendary. The second you follow the story of the deer thing. They're probably not going to be no longer than 5 hours each.
Yes

no actual new battle challenges with a typical party of Pokemon, probably specific rules involving raising Kubfu and like 5 hours of story
then there's the co-op (or solo) den exploration and legendary collecting in Tundra as well as new wild areas in both DLC expansions
Amount of people saying gen 4 and gen 5 games for their first is mad

Jus finally started last night.
Only a couple hours in but already addicted. Nothing ultimately new of course but Pokemon Yellow was the first game I ever played that started it all so I’ll always be a sucker for the franchise. Finally playing a main series game wit a full 3D overworld on the big screen is wild.
Really liking the actual Pokémon designs as well. They have a memorability and uniqueness to them that both X/Y and Sun/Moon were lacking.

Yellow
Shiiiid, prolly 3rd overall. MAYBE 4th. Real hard decision.
Pokemon Conquest. It was such a bizarre and different experience that I still can’t believe actually exists lmao, but I loved it.
Dragon. Dopest designs and overall the most sturdy.
Shiny Greninja and Lucario.

Gen 4 was the peak of the series. A lot of people also owned a DS compared to the game boy. You have to remember that it was a whole group of kids that was born at the end of the game boy color life that was still a baby from 2001 to 2004 that missed the GBA era. It's not surprising those two Gens were their first.
It's kind of funny that Mystery Dungeon has better animations than the bigger budget main series games.
Was competitive breeding a Gyarados
and on the 15th egg I got a shiny Magikarp
Meanwhile I’m on like egg 1000 for dreeepy

Damn that’s that hurt.
Especially since shiny Gyarados is basically a worthless shiny since they were always jus given out lmao.
Man nah mfs saying this was weak are straight trippin.
Sure, a lot more could have been added, being on Switch now and everything. Coulda been a lil more open world, shoulda had national dex, etc.
But this is the most fun I had wit a Pokémon game since Black/White.
Also, it’s not hard now by any stretch, but I do love the effort made to where you don’t completely bulldoze it now. Didn’t reach the first gym til the 5-6 hour mark when my team was level 18-20, when you usually face it before you’re even level 10 in the first few hours. Not to mention the fact that gym leaders were brought back in the first place is great, (Sun/Moon was WOAT for this.) and I love the presentation of them now, where they finally feel like this big grand event they’re sposed to be. The arenas wit the huge crowds was a really nice touch lmao.
I have 6 badges, and most gyms I was actually 2-3 levels behind the leader’s Pokémon. Was still able to beat them, but I actually had to go spend some time in the Wild Area and grind some levels out, and I appreciated that, because I’ve NEVER had to do that.
It’s the lil things, but they hit a home run wit this one IMO. Thoroughly enjoying it and been binging it hard.
Ash's team in the anime getting ridiculous
Pikachu
his old Mr. Mime
Dragonite
