I’ve been doing ludwigs version (aka ludlocke) where you can’t use items in battle and am getting trashed but loving it

Used this at the beginning with the cheat and I spent a lot of time at the pokemon center

I basically just use the same rules as PC/Jan uses

yeah it’s basically just nuzlocke with harder bonus rules that lots of people use. (i.e. player death instead of just pokemon death, no potions.)

but he does have some unique rules like he names the Pokémon after twitch followers (at their request) and bans them if the pokemon dies

I tried playing fire red on my gba but the f***ing screen doesn’t have a backlight. wish I hadn’t of sold my ds lite smh

I got 3 SPs. I have a pearl blue one that I broke in half cause I dropped it as a kid

It still works tho ribbon cable keeps it in place. And the screen is extra bright

I have a regular blue one that is in good condition and I just checked eBay and why SPs so expensive

people will have some dusty, broken ass looking gameboy + 3 games you’ve never heard of that you have to buy with the system all together for like $200

s***s wild. That’s why emulators are the way to go unfortunately

I saw some guy on reddit add a bright ISP display to his old GBA and it looked really easy, just unscrewing stuff no soldering or whatever. Might try that

It's no information on this. This is just another rumor. Only game that is for sure maybe coming is a Gen 4 remake. This rumor about a collection coming started around the time the Mario All-Star collection leaked.

I’m gonna keep it a stack, if they released every game (either HD ported or totally remastered) I’d buy another switch immediately and cop it. Not a chance they remake all of them just cause it’s f***ing GF.

I’d be cool if they allowed wifi battling though somehow and you could select what Gen you wanna play on. I just don’t see this happening because they can just cash in on remakes and never have to really try too hard to update s***.

Like how would they even do that realistically? Would they even bother with Gen 1-3 since they were already remade? What about like transferring Pokémon between games as well?

It's not happening lol. The most(if announced) we'll get is probably Gen 1-2 3DS ports. GF isn't going to program them to online battles, it's just going be local battles. If they do add the GBA and DS games it's going just be ports with slight changes to the trading and local battles lol. They'll just do the bare minimum.

I don't believe a collection is coming. This is TPCi, they'll sell each gen separately before the sell Gen 1-5 on one cartridge for $60. No one else talked about a collection except a rumor linked back to the Mario All-Star leak.

Yeah lol it just sounds not like a GF move honestly. If it happens, I’ll be cool with it but I only see like maybe a Metroid Prime Trilogy HD collection and like a Zelda HD collection.

Max we getting with Pokémon is Gen 4 and even then I’m skeptical. I could see Let’s Go Gen 2 as well (idk what the Mons would be, maybe like Togepi and Pichu or some s***) but I sure hope not because LGPE was ass outside of bringing the Pokémon riding mechanics into play.

Nah the Lets go concept is dead. That was a project done by Masuda and since he's stepped down it's pretty much a dead series. The most we'll get is a Gen 4 remake, SWSH enhanced versions/sequels, or Gen 9 announcements. I don't see a port of the older games UNLESS it's the 3DS ports of Gen 1-2 lol

I only say that because Nintendo has been on a 3DS and Wii U port binge.

I just realized that base pokemon games have never been that good. All of them had major issues and it took either a third version or a remake to fix all the issues. People love hg/ss but if they played the originals on gameboy they would have realized that there werent many pokemon in johto, with many johto pokemon being in kanto and almost all kanto pokemon being in kanto, which made it hell to play. Gen 1 also had huge issues with balancing, gen 3 had few water pokemon that could learn surf and fire pokemon were useless, especially in emerald. Gen 4 had like 3 fire type pokemon and was slow as hell. I could go on for days but y'all get the point.
So if pokemon x and y got a pokemon z it couldve been the best of the series but we'll never know

Nah those games were great. I played all of them

But if you gonna look at a version of the game that's been improved 100 times over versus the original, you can make yourself think those games weren't good.

And to me the third versions were always bonuses because they added stuff you didn't even ask for

Try playing them again, you'll see how much impacting are those issues. If you only played fire red/leaf green, platinum, hg/ss and oras/emerald to an extent you wouldnt have noticed th issues ive listed, but they remain and the remakes/third versions always fixed them
