BDSP is shipping unfinished. The next patch after the day 1 patch adds features that was in the original and adding more features. They said it'll be continuing adding updates with features throughout 2022. Kind of made me realize that with some more time BDSP would have been the second best remakes ever made.

Updates and features throughout 2022

God I hate that. Once I beat a game + post game I'm pretty much checked out. If DLC and updates drop then I have to wait for the all the DLC to come out and then I have to replay the entire base game along with the new DLC

About to just buy this s*** Fall 2022 now and wait for everything to be out

There is no DLC. These updates are mainly to finish the game. BDSP and Legends had a tough development. There's no DLC for Legends: Arceus or BDSP. Unless plans change there will be no DLC because Gen 9 is releasing next November.

Nope, they actually already started development last year. Rumor has it that it may be a crossed country theme. Because they took two job vacations last year. One to redwoods California and the other to Italy. Game is expected to come out November 2022. That's why Arceus is coming out in January and it's not getting pushed back even with a toxic development. Remember it was no game in 2020. We got DLC for SWSH in 2020. So that pretty much was their break. The DLC for SWSH wasn't worked on by GF main Dev team.

I don’t even know what’s going on with these mfers at this point. Is arceus a mainline game. Will gen 9 have the same gameplay as arceus or will it be 1:1 sword and shield with hopefully gameplay improvements?

I was mostly ranting about games in general tho tbh. I still haven’t played the xenoblade 2 DLC cus I already know I gotta replay 120 hours of the base game + the DLC

It’s just feels off to me to jump right back into a game months after beating it

in context of sprite-based graphics, ds-era pokemon is pretty high up there in terms of charm and aesthetic. i still find all of the games visually appealing today.

this doesn't really meet any standards within its stylistic approach to visuals. i don't particularly mind that they opted out of creating a larger scale 3d remake, but the chibi models look like a product of limited talent/budget rather than a style that was honed by the developers to service the game's visual appeal.
