Wasted so many great/ultra balls in the GU before finding out if your Pokémon is lower level than the one you’re trying to catch, it makes the catch rate impossible
Talked so much s*** about Pokemon for close to a decade for thinking their games got too easy without actually playing any since B/W. I don't have a Switch but I picked up Moon and I've gotten bodied more times than I can count
. Whited out twice in a row to a Miltank, got flashbacks of Whitney
Am I in the minority of not minding exp share? I get that it should be optional. But for me I’ve always loathed Pokemon grinding in older games. Makes the game flow nicer when have to set time aside trying to grind out a team I’m most likely not using in post game
A general complaint I have and I feel like this isn’t a remake issue and maybe just a Gen 4 issue? Regular game wild Pokémon suck. I see why Gen 4 has this rep of having a genetic team to play with. I’m basically using starter, hatching, Lucario, electric dude, the bird, and Blissey (random slot) because every random I’ve ran into from badge 1-7 has been geodude, machop, zubat, or another throwaway until I finally got strength to go in the cave + the Lucario side quest
Don’t see how people play comp there is no way I’m remembering the types of all these mfs feels like torture

It’s not that I mind the idea of it or anything like that
The thing most have a problem with is that before it was at least a choice. It went from choosing which Pokémon you want to get some shared exp to applying to the whole party
But at least we could turn it off if we wanted to. Now we can’t even turn it off. They just keep removing player choice and options and that’s never good

I don’t really mind it either. It’s dope to me that you can just do every trainer battle and you’ll end up with enough xp to beat all the gyms and elite four. Im not sure why some people would rather kill geodude for 6 hours on a random route just to get a pokemon to level 60

The issue isn't the exp share being on for every Pokemon. The issue is, prior to BDSP, Game Freak has done a terrible job with scaling and level curve. By the time you reach the final gym or champion your team is already 10-20 levels higher. BDSP is the first game to actually seemingly put caps on Pokemon as they level up. Like my level 45 empoleon wasn't getting the same amount of XP as my level 30 Roserade.
Whats a good switch emulator for this?
I got a switch but cba buying
Ryujin or Yuzu

Exp share just makes it feel too easy. One shotting in every battle is boring. Feels like Im playing pokemon go rather than an actual pokemon game. Im still early though so we shall see how the rest of the game goes.
