I got like 10 shinies off just roaming around. Even an alpha shiny Gyrados

Is this post yesterday patch? Post patch they made it harder to find shinies. They even changed the rates.

Before. That’s how I was sure something was wrong. Finding shinies was too easy

Getting a switch soon, is Arceus good? Or should I get Pokemon Sword?

Arceus is a new formula and more refreshing, while Sword is just a traditional Pokémon game that plays pretty much like all the previous entries. Whichever you prefer right now.

Funny how they did this but you can still farm shinies in sword/shield like there’s no tomorrow

That's working like intended. What was happening in PLA was a bug. It wasn't suppose to work like that.

wish they'd do more games with BD's pseudo-2D. i like that style so much more than the full-on 3D

no one should be surprised that Gamefreak never intended mfs to be able to load up the game and catch 5 shinies before they turn it back off

Me too. I'm kind of over 3D and Game Freak entered into the open world space too late. Open world games are kind of boring to me now.

Tbh Sword felt like a massive disappointment. I enjoyed Arceus a lot. In fact I liked it a lot more than I thought I would.

Anyone got a spare Shaymin in Arceus? Dont mind a clone

Kinda this. But also the new system aint bad either. The new outbreaks feel like mini games now. From what I know the rate is still the same just without the chaining, But from all the outbreaks on the map at the same time, you get way more rolls.

I get the inconvenience for dedicated hunters but I'm surprised at how much i dig the updated mechanic even while disappointed I missed the chance to chain certain mons.

Pseudo-2D for Pokémon just always made me wish the games were fully 3D. I stan Gen 6 and 7 but the one complaint I always had about them was being pseudo-2d.

If they ever go away from open world in the future I think I’d prefer just straight up 2d like the older games

With the extra battle content in that update I’m starting to really enjoy this new battle system. Simple battles can get really dynamic and interesting when boosts and nerfs start flying around as much as they do in this. Also getting a feel for timing agile boosts and strong finishers gets hype. Been grinding some of the dojo battles for levels and rewards and I gotta say even with the same teams it feels more exciting than some other rematches in past games. Iron out some balancing issues and they got something pretty cool

The old one is a classic and should remain in tact but I wouldnt mind this also sticking around in some way maybe as a special facility mode and being refined. I doubt both can coexist tho

Casually sneaking the Battle Reverie in an update like that is wild cause it really scratches my itch for a good battle facility. We still need that modern stadium game with all the gimmicks and competitive shenanigans. They just let showdown run with the bag smh
