Lol one of the reasons I bought a switch was for Pokemon Violet/Scarlet
Bought a Switch over the weekend so I'm catching up on all the Pokemon I've missed the past 4 years. Currently playing through Sword and I'm enjoying it a lot. Still feels hand-holdy but not nearly as bad as S/M.
The open-world/seamlessness is really being emphasized this time and it's making me very hyped.
Yeah just like Arceus. That's the Pokemon cycle.
naw Arceus been out a month and i’m still seeing gameplay clips on twitter and tiktok
still haven’t copped cause i wanna beat Diamond first but i got no motivation now
Yeah this game is the s*** once it opens up I just knew there would be a glider (I'm about to get it) but I didn't know about the sneasler that thing is awesome.
BDSP came and went?
absolutely nothing special about BDSP
and Sw/Sh is comp platform til August

Yeah old clips. Arceus came and went as well. I'm not seeing nearly as many people outside of the Pokemon community playing it or talking about it.
@Tubig @vanity @idkICantPick if you registered you can play the games for the shiny zapdos
Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl updated today.
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl has received the Version 1.3 update. This update provides a variety of new features.
This update adds the Hall of Origin event. If you have completed all Missions in Pokémon Legends Arceus and got the National Pokédex & defeated Elite Four in this game, you will get the Azure Flute in your room in Twinleaf Town. This allows for you to go to Spear Pillar to get access to the Hall of Origin to battle Arceus
The GWS is now available in Jubilife City. This allows for players to do Wonder Trades globally over the Internet

at this point, i’m 100% convinced on what the Gen4 Switch games are supposed to be
BDSP — literally only exists to remind people what the storyline of Diamond & Pearl was & that’s it. GameFreak didn’t even make BDSP, that’s how unimportant it is to the Pokémon Franchise as a whole.
PLA — this is the REAL Gen4 remake game. i’m sure long-time Pokémon fans have noticed that each Gen’s remake game gradually gains more new features, mainly as post-game content — Gen1’s post-game in Gen3 gained the Sevii Islands, Gen2’s post-game in Gen4 gained the Battle Frontier & other storylines/features from Crystal/Platinum, Gen3’s post-game in Gen6 gained the whole Draconids/Delta Episode storyline & Megas & the legendaries coming out of Hoopa’s rings.. but Gen4’s “post-game” in Gen8 is an entirely separate game with completely original game-playing mechanics that build on SwSh’s overworld Pokémon encounter style. instead of the Gen4 remakes being “basically the original games plus some added content & mechanics similar to the current Gen’s mechanics”, they did “basically the original games” AND “an entirely new game” as separate games.
BDSP was extremely disappointing without PLA, but once you understand its actual purpose in the game series, it actually serves its purpose very well.
Also added darkrai

question. for an alpha dex should it include one alpha of each regional varieties like shellos or burmy?

Wow. No f***ing s***.
This makes so much sense, and I can appreciate both games a little more realizing this. Appreciate this post
