where is it sourced that Pokemon SV wont have similar research dex features?

Legends was merely a large beta test for Gen 9. Game Freak has zero intentions to create other legends games. Legends Arceus only came about as it was a sand box for Gen 9 and a anniversary game for Gen IV. You can consider it the real Gen IV remake.

Your comments is exactly what people who enjoyed Let's Go thought. 5 years later and we still don't have a let's go Johto. Just like Lets go was the bridge game to SWSH, PLA is in fact the bridge game for S/V.

It's not meant to be a new series and that's why all of Pokemon Legends features (except Strong and agile style) are in Scarlet and Violet. Scarlet and Violet has also been in development longer than Legends arceus. This is also why S/V has the same battle system and overworld system as PLA.

Literally no where does it say S/V won't have a Pokedex feature like PLA. It's painfully obvious that PLA was a sand box for S/V that became a different game with the same mechanics. PLA looks and run like a beta game. PLA was probably the system where they were testing all of the new functions they wanted to try out and used Dawn and Lucas as the test characters. This probably spun off into a different game for the Gen IV anniversary. Why else would your character in PLA turn into a completely different model when sent to the past.

This would also explain the beta present-day room which probably started off as the players room in S/V.

I think people forget that Gen 9 has been in development since at least the end of SWSH development, which was 2019.

LOL I just realized there's even Hisuian Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet. That further supports that those Pokemon probably didn't even start off as Hisuian Pokemon, but were new Pokemon that was meant for S/V. GF probably made a bunch of new Pokemon and didn't want to waste the designs for some of the older Pokemon.

Pokémon legends will be a series about researching Pokémon, as opposed to mainline games in which you’re catching and battling. Why in the f*** would gen 9 include any research mechanics when Pokémon have been discovered and the research has been done. You sound ridiculous.

No, Let's Go was Game Freak's idea of trying to bring the casual market from Go to the main series games and it didn't go to well. Those games released two years to late.

SWSH beta has a ton of Let's Go assets. I think SWSH can even be controlled with the Pokemon ball accessory as well.

Legends Arceus was a clear sand box game that became a anniversary game for Gen IV. There won't be anymore Legends games. There won't be a need for it. The main series games will have everything a Legends game has and more.

Because this is a brand new game that will have brand new Pokemon? Are you trolling right now? Every single Pokemon game has you basically as a researcher.

Literally and I mean LITERALLY every new Gen professor ask the player to go out and research the pokemon in the region and the remix game throws in a crazy phenomenon. A perfect example is Diamond and Pearl, Rowan ask the player to go and research Pokemon and travel the region as he is to old and in Platinum he throws in how he wants the player character to find out why it's suddenly colder in Sinnoh.

Also I don't think a single fan of Pokemon is looking for a Pokemon game that's strictly based on research. That's why PLA died out fast. People was hooked on the capturing. That mechanic is shown to be in Scarlet and Violet. So why the f*** would they make a side game that is just a small percentage of the current main series game that also has online battling and other online features.

Them adding the research tasks to S/V gives people the incentive to want to complete the Pokedex. I'm not sure how difficult this can be to comprehend.

The research tasks exist because you’re building the first Pokédex

That isn't stopping them from adding research task to this Pokedex. Especially, just like every Pokemon game ever made the player character is given it's region first Pokedex, that just so happen to show up when your character and rival appear before the regional professor to explore the region and research the pokemon for the professor.

All they have to do is make the same kind of task."See Lucario randomly in the wild using aura sphere x10" and completing these task make it easier to shiny hunt or make better IV versions of that Pokemon spawn.

This isn't true at all, literally every regions professor task the player to travel the region and fill the dex up for the region professor because of some made up reason they can't and you know it 🤷🏾‍♂️ I think your trolling and I'm not even going to respond to you anymore.

I get the monster hunter comparison now it's like your doing gathering quest the whole time and your catching cute monsters mostly instead of fighting bad ass monsters with Korean gods. They scratch two completely different kind of itches for me tho.

There's literally zero reason for new Legends games
All of the cool features from Legends will be in Scarlet and Violet + all of the stuff that's in usual core Pokemon games, like gyms and E4, basically the only stuff that was holding PLA from being GOAT

So, no real reason to continue the Legends series, it was obviously a test and placeholder title for this new generation, which will be the first real open world 3D gen

When I saw Hisuian forms are already in S/V it became even more obvious that PLA was just a test game and hisuian pokemon probably was created for S/V until the PLA became a real idea to release to test the waters.

Meh I'm more into ROM hacks than fan games. Some fan games are bullshit or add unnecessary stuff like reborn with it's cursing and suicide. I honestly don't need that in my Pokemon game.

Just give me a challenging Pokemon game with QOL improvements and extra events. What Drayano do to ROMs are peak Pokemon. Pokemon BW2 redux is amazing. Pokemon Renegade Platinum is amazing. Pokemon Red++ is another dope ROM hack.

There's another ROM hack out there we was talking about months ago that release it's final build that's really good and doesn't add cursing or adult themes. I feel like s*** like that ruins the experience. I don't need cursing in my Pokemon game. Seeing your character who is suppose to be a 10 year old say "Fuck!" is weird.

I fully expect them to do something like that to fill in the time, as most mainline Pokemon games don't have a long shelf life. I know it's not confirmed and it's unlikely.

Totally can understand that, sometimes they be way too edgy But i do have a soft spot for Reborn (and Rejuvenation) because i played it like 7 years ago. Also played s*** like Dark Rising or Snakewood so in comparison Reborn aint that bad tbh.

Agree with what u said in ur second paragraph, the improved pokemon games are peak and Renegade Platinum is the greatest rom hack out there. And thanks to u now i know that Drayano just released Pokemon BW2 redux

I can see why thats off puting, the thing i like the most about pokemon is playing a new adventure from scratch and growing my team, so i dont put much mind into story. But i know if i played them fangames today and not when i was a 13 year old, i would cringe a lot lol

Nah don't get me wrong it's some fantastic fan made games. Pokemon Unbound is what I like in a fan game that's not trying to be edgy, but when it is that it isn't cringy. Pokemon Prism is another game that's fire. Reborn has a special place in my heart only because of Shofu playthrough of it was hilarious. But it's the exact opposite of the fan made games I wouldn't want. Way to long, can be extremely cheap in order to create difficulty (Something I despise, being cheap doesn't = fun/difficult), way to edgy, and clunky. Give me a Pokemon Unbound or rising Phoenix any day!

ROM hacks like Pokemon Red++ and Polished Crystal are fantastic games. Those are Gen 2 ROM hacks made by someone that worked under Drayano. ALL of Drayano's hacks are amazing.

There's no need for another game like that. Legends was clearly the true Gen IV remake and every feature from Legends will be in S/V. They did the same thing to Pokemon Lets Go. The same people saying the stuff you are said this about Let's Go. Pokemon Lets Go was clearly something that came about from Game Freak devs playing with SWSH during development. SWSH even has beta elements from Lets go and features from Lets go.

They don't need to have a Legends like game to fill in. That's what DLC is for. There will also be a season pass for Gen 9 that will be 2023's Pokemon content while Gen 10 (Something I expect to be a huge anniversary game) is being worked on. Why make a single $60 game when they can create another $90 Complete version for S/V.

Nintendo doesn't really make Game Freak milk anything. They see the positive response and will just use that to see what people like for the main series games.

It's painfully obvious that Legends is/was Gen 9's beta/play test/sandbox. Even down to the Hisiuan Pokemon already being in S/V
