Yes with Ohmori sitting next to him. He hasn't worked on a Pokemon game since X&Y. Masuda hasn't had really anything to do with the main series games in years. He was literally a mouth piece.

it added new Pokémon to the dex & has compatibility with the other core series games, plus it was made by GameFreak. any of those three alone isn’t enough, but having all three makes it clear

plus, PLA is basically the “Delta Episode” part of BDSP, just as a separate game

each Gen’s remake games have featured increasingly more new content

• FRLG had the Sevii Islands
• HGSS used a lot of features from the Crystal storyline & content from Platinum
• ORAS expanded on Mega Evolution & used the Delta Episode as a replacement for Emerald
• BDSP was basically just a remastered DP, so they moved the bonus content to a separate game: PLA(tinum)

Bruh Masuda hasn't made a Main series game since X&Y he literally isn't the reason the games isn't bad. The one game he did make since X & Y was Lets Go. That game you can see the quality difference from Ohmori's Sword & Shield.

The game battle system is fully like PLA without the different styles. Replacing it is the gimmicks.

those are likely coming out after SV, since the original games were also on the DS, which was 2 consoles ago, and they’ve been dropping a lot of hints about Gen5 remakes for a while

maybe they’ll only remake BW and basically redo the B2W2 storyline as the bonus content

Yes they do and even Khu hasn't denied it. He keeps ignoring it. I'm literally in the scene. He even recently said the Diglett one was fake but close.

the camera is swsh/bdsp's though, and the pokemon dont make contact with each other when attacking like PLA

The battle system is turn base again using the turn base battle style PLA had. Everything is instant.

If another remake happen, it won't be open world or in the style of SV. It's going to be another game like BDSP, but probably with more polish.

Picking Quaxly for sure as my starter. Didn’t really like any of the new Pokémon they showed off today. The Legendarys do look pretty cool tho I think im picking Scarlet version

would be sick tbh, and that’s pretty much the only other Legendary/Mythical that could warrant its own game

i’m gonna list the legendaries that are like legitimately legendary here, not just Pokémon that are so strong & rare they’re considered legendary (like the birds)

Gen1 legendaries are basically just Mew & Mewtwo, and the Gen1 games handle that story well enough

Gen2 legendaries are basically just the box legendaries & Celebii, and the Gen2 games handle their stories well enough

Gen3 legendaries are the box legendaries (no need for another game focusing on them), Deoxys (handled in Delta Episode), and Jirachi (lore could use some expansion tbh but not enough for a whole game. maybe as a side legendary)

Gen4 legendaries were just covered in PLA

Gen5 legendaries now have even more lore than before, with the addition of Enamorus completing the Four Symbols aspect of the Forces Of Nature. perhaps the original form of the Gen5 box legendaries could be the Yellow Dragon, which would complete the Five Phases group. other than that, Genesect doesn’t need to be explored much, Meloetta isn’t really anything special, and the Swords of Justice already have enough backstory.

Gen6 legendaries definitely need more backstory since Z didn’t happen, but i think Zygarde would be covered in the XY remakes better than it would be in its own game. one connection i’d be interested to explore though is the history between Unova & Kalos, as it’s been theorized that the war that happened 3000 years ago has to do with both of them, and the Zekrom/Reshiram statues in Kalos clearly imply some kind of connection. however, none of the legendaries in either region have to do with time travel (since Hoopa pretty much just travels across space) so there’s not a good reason to travel back in time off just those legendaries alone. (but if you toss in Gen7’s ultra wormholes, that’s a different story; although, they also cause memory loss like with Ingo, so it wouldn’t work)

Gen7 legendaries have been explored enough tbh. the mythicals could definitely use more backstory, but not enough to warrant whole games around them (Zeraora, Magearna, Marshadow)

Gen8 already did a pretty good job with the backstory on all its legendaries (i wrote a pretty long reddit post about this a while back, the DLC actually added so much to the lore of Galar) except the mythical, Zarude, but Zarude’s story was told in the movie, so 🤷🏻‍♂️

tl;dr Legends Kyurem is the only game that would make sense to base around a single Pokémon, and it would likely have something to do with Gen6 lore as well
