would be sick tbh, and that’s pretty much the only other Legendary/Mythical that could warrant its own game

i’m gonna list the legendaries that are like legitimately legendary here, not just Pokémon that are so strong & rare they’re considered legendary (like the birds)

Gen1 legendaries are basically just Mew & Mewtwo, and the Gen1 games handle that story well enough

Gen2 legendaries are basically just the box legendaries & Celebii, and the Gen2 games handle their stories well enough

Gen3 legendaries are the box legendaries (no need for another game focusing on them), Deoxys (handled in Delta Episode), and Jirachi (lore could use some expansion tbh but not enough for a whole game. maybe as a side legendary)

Gen4 legendaries were just covered in PLA

Gen5 legendaries now have even more lore than before, with the addition of Enamorus completing the Four Symbols aspect of the Forces Of Nature. perhaps the original form of the Gen5 box legendaries could be the Yellow Dragon, which would complete the Five Phases group. other than that, Genesect doesn’t need to be explored much, Meloetta isn’t really anything special, and the Swords of Justice already have enough backstory.

Gen6 legendaries definitely need more backstory since Z didn’t happen, but i think Zygarde would be covered in the XY remakes better than it would be in its own game. one connection i’d be interested to explore though is the history between Unova & Kalos, as it’s been theorized that the war that happened 3000 years ago has to do with both of them, and the Zekrom/Reshiram statues in Kalos clearly imply some kind of connection. however, none of the legendaries in either region have to do with time travel (since Hoopa pretty much just travels across space) so there’s not a good reason to travel back in time off just those legendaries alone. (but if you toss in Gen7’s ultra wormholes, that’s a different story; although, they also cause memory loss like with Ingo, so it wouldn’t work)

Gen7 legendaries have been explored enough tbh. the mythicals could definitely use more backstory, but not enough to warrant whole games around them (Zeraora, Magearna, Marshadow)

Gen8 already did a pretty good job with the backstory on all its legendaries (i wrote a pretty long reddit post about this a while back, the DLC actually added so much to the lore of Galar) except the mythical, Zarude, but Zarude’s story was told in the movie, so 🤷🏻‍♂️

tl;dr Legends Kyurem is the only game that would make sense to base around a single Pokémon, and it would likely have something to do with Gen6 lore as well

i remember reading about how zekrom & reshiram were originally one dragon that split in half

and the two kings that controlled each. theres so many theories surrounding AZ and how he couldve been one of them, and how the big war from X/Y could have taken place across kalos and unova

theres a lot of potential to answer so many questions from gen 5 & 6 that just isnt there for the other gens

and with all the hints they’ve been dropping in recent games (the SwSh bike upgrades in the IoA being called Sparkling White & Glistening Black although i admit that one’s a stretch, Ingo being the only other non-ancestor character in PLA, the Forces Of Nature being the only non-Gen4 legendaries in PLA, Cynthia’s ancestors’ names basically translating to Truth & Ideals in Latin) plus the fact that we’re 2 consoles past the original Gen5 release (which has been the metric they’ve used for all the remakes), we’re definitely getting some crazy Gen5 content relatively soon

im rlly excited to see what they do with gen 5 its my favorite of the bunch

say what u want about the pokemon games, and how they deliver stories, the ppl writing the lore clearly have a lot of love for it

Scarlet legendary is ass with that monster trunk tired on his chest. Violet legendary is fine

None of the new Pokémon moving me but I only care about final evolutions so I’ll wait and see.

I miss the days of watching trailers without having to take note of every Pokémon included cus you expected them all to be there anyway. Now I gotta stop the video and s*** like “okay so talonflame made the cut”
