Hate Kalos and Gen 6. Boring ass region and generation as a whole. At the very least, much of the interesting stuff that happened in Kalos (relating to the Pokemon World War thing) is stuff that happened in the past. So there is at least some hope that this game will actually make Kalos not bland as s***.

Also the fact that they aren't rushing to get this game out for the holidays this year is a relief. Hopefully it's not a buggy and glitchy crock of s*** like Gen 8. Pokemon Legends Arceus was a step in the right direction for the series. Hopefully they continue that trend with the Legends Za pacc

Likely gonna be the last major Nintendo release for the Switch

Bingo. Just like BW2 for DS and USUM for 3DS. It just solidify that the next Nintendo console is backwards compatible.

I think this game will actually be pretty good given that its so late in the Switch's life span, and because the Pokemon Company already has experience making a Legends game for the Switch. Familiarity with the hardware they're working on and a solid blueprint of what worked well in Legends Arceus. Hopefully they learned some things from S&V as well.

This game is going to be the Switch's swan song and for Nintendo to surpass the PS2 in sales.

Obviously they can’t say anything about an unannounced console in their official presentation lol, switch 2 is scheduled for early 2025, so I can’t see this dropping before switch 2. The timing makes sense for this to be cross-gen.

It'll likely be a Breath of the Wild and Twilight Princess kinda situation. Comes out for both the previous gen console and new gen console.

That, or like @Ultima said it'll be the game that will highlight that the Switch 2 will be backwards compatible.

They would have just left it ambiguous if it was going to be for the next Nintendo console. They just wouldn't have said anything and we both know Game Freak isn't releasing the same game for two different consoles.

Switch and switch 2 will likely have a lot of games that play on both systems, just running and looking better on switch 2. We already know this, they showed off an improved botw running on switch 2 behind closed doors.

No that's because it's releasing world wide and not just in Japan. They've been say this with every game now since X&Y. Actually that might be the same words they used for X&Y announcement.

You was right on this. I give you that, even though you said it was Legends Johto. But, no, because this isn't a new situation. They did this same thing with Black and White 2. Black and White 2(2012) came out over a year after the 3DS was on shelves(2011). They're maximizing profit and the games will still be BC on the next console so it's not isolating anyone.
