Doing too much for a Pokémon game lol

walrein is better in every way

u kinda f***ed up
u can get another ice beam in the game corner but its pretty pricey

You playing the OG or remake? Love Gen 2 but it falls apart in Kanto. Really don't understand why tf they'd make wild Pokémon in Kanto low level. Especially in the remakes. Recently played HG, just had to go to Mount Silver and beat Red. But I had to get my team to Level 80 and the highest level wild Pokémon are like Level 55
Just abandoned my playthrough, grinding is the worst part about Pokémon games
Currently playing through Platinum, it's rough coming from Black 2 because it doesn't have the QOL changes. Probably the thing I hate most is the stat screen doesn't show the changes caused by the Pokémon's nature. So now I have to look up natures whenever I catch a Pokémon

So just got my hands on Delta Emulator and played Pokémon for the first time. S*** was amazing, can’t believe I’ve gone through life without playing this game series…
Where do I start? I’m keen to pick up a ds (or switch if needed) but there’s so much stuff to choose from
*I remember there was some second hand console website linked on ktt2 but can’t find it anymore :/

The classic quintessential game is emerald. Black and white (and sequels) are arguably the best too. All of the ds pokemon games are incredible and look beautiful. I would also highly recommend finishing scarlet/violet before Zaza. But other than some dated 3d graphics in the x/y era (that have a lot of charm) literally every single one of them is excellent (except the the diamond/pearl remake on the switch, but even those arent bad at all) the series is by far my favourite jrpg series OAT and maybe my favourite video game series oat.

Pokémon Fire Red or Leaf Green
Pokémon Heart Gold or Soul Silver
Pokémon Emerald
Pokémon Platinum
Pokémon Black 2 or White 2
All you need. Wouldn't cop a console though, emulators are better

Don’t listen to that other comment. Get yourself a DSi XL, it has IPS screens which look amazing and are the best way to experience the DS era games which are the best.
This always been the wave. The pokemon I pick is purely which I think look cool / have an attachment to if they’re older Pokemon
MFs that only go after whatever Pokémon for competitive are lame. Nothing wrong with that if you’re into competitive and they just imaginary animals at the end of the day, but dammit the 6 Pokémon you travel with are your family
Currently playing Platinum and the game feels extra grindy My Pokémon leveling up slow af, 20 hours played and I still need to get the second badge because I'm trying to get my team up to like Lvl 20. Been trying to level up some weaklings like Magikarp and Picharisu though, that added a lot to my time
Also feels like the AI on some bullshit. If my Pokémon confused, I feel like it definitely will hurt itself or if my Pokémon accuracy gets lowered, it's moves won't hit for like 4 turns in a row
