If you have the (very basic) know how needed I'd say to just get pokemmo on a phone, computer, etc and do it that way. I'm having a ton of fun with it and it's tied to the first 4 regions as well. Basically the same game and it looks stunning but with so many people. I'm using a retroid 5 for it, and the game is just an app you can download which makes it easy.

You just need to know where to download the rom for at least one game like black. I'd give instructions but it's not allowed unfortunately. It's more fun so I dropped the 3 badge playthrough I started on my 3ds

Yeah I like what I see with ZA. Legends Arceus was great graphically (though not perfect) and ZA looks more akin to that since it’s the same video game series line. So I’m extremely excited for what it’ll do

I'm pumped too. I wouldn't call any switch game genuinely good looking they just aren't bad or offensive to my eyes but I just never was that dude to care about graphics

I'm very excited to learn more about new balls and general mechanics cause I found some of the stealth stuff in legends 1 to not really be as well executed as it should have been (though it was a hell of a fun time)

ive tried running a couple of different DS simulators on my phone and have despised the experience everytime

Get a DSi for $120 on eBay, homebrew it and download Black/White roms to it

It's basically a fan game yeah, but it mirrors the normal game as an MMO

it has re-made controls to make it way easier to play on a phone, though I use what's basically a phone baked into a controller.

I agree emulation on a phone sucks ass without a controller but this game is centered around phone users and COULD be a better experience for you if that's all you got

It’s 100% lock on switch 1/2 versions of Mario kart 9, Pokémon legends ZA, Metroid prime 4, and probably whatever Zelda remake/remaster is coming

150m+ switch base is too much to pass up, and switch 2 base will grow rapidly for many reasons, they don’t need to keep sweetening the deal. Especially when the upgrade itself is more of a natural decision.

I think there will be a big exclusive but I’m not sure if it’ll be mk9/X because aren’t racing games typically not demanding? I feel the big exclusive could possibly be the next 3d Mario, that’s something where they could go really far and really push the hardware to the point that a switch version would make zero sense

Let me put it like this. They want to sell switch 2s but they also have a huge user base on switch.

If you really break it down, the amount of software sales they’d be passing up couldn’t possibly make up for that with whatever boost that exclusive would bring. Remember, they make most of their money from software. Hardware is actually very expensive and margins are tight, especially at launch.

I do think a big exclusive is coming but I’m betting it’ll be 3d Mario or animal crossing. There’s plenty of other exclusives to look forward to as well, that’ll naturally bring people to switch 2

Then there’s also third party like Elden ring, bg3, monster hunter Wilds, etc. games that most likely wouldn’t run on switch 1

None of that really matters tho. Yes the switch 1 install base is massive but the switch 2 install base is 0. Their main priority is to grow that and move switch 1 users over, and they can only do that with multiple 1st party exclusives releasing over the next year, like in 2017.

Can’t really rely on 3rd party ports that already came out on PS4-PS5/Xbox. The Wii U had plenty of 3rd party games like Arkham City at launch that previously couldn’t run on the Wii.

I’m sure the game will be fun like usual but ngl if the trailers start showing frame drops and bad performance again I won’t be able to justify buying another one of these

I think their main priority is money. Mario kart X could be like one of the best selling games of all time if it sells well on switch 1 and switch 2

There will be enough hype from other exclusives to like 3d mario, ac and Zelda. Also remember that the visual upgrade on mkx will be a selling point. The best version is exclusive to switch 2, if you think about it like that.

Ps5 is still selling well even though sack boy, Mike’s morales, ragnarok, forbidden west, and a bunch of other big exclusives went cross-gen. COVID shortages be damned, ps5 has had an incredible trajectory.
