How do people pick characters so fast

My s*** he laggy as hell upon loading up the Pokémon selection screen but my teammates will have pikachu or zerarora locked in asap

That’s why we gotta squad up so we pick our characters

I get so annoyed when someone picks both of the characters I play and I’m forced to pick up venasaur trash ass
