I still don’t get why rehearsal archives are so taboo. 😳his jam sessions were legendary and that’s where everyone would have to level up or they were going home. Plus you have all the great comments he would make “ Wendy put down the magazine!” 😭

So lemme get this straight, you can release a piano rehearsal but you want to leave everything behind because you think he would object? You think he left the tape machine running because he didn’t think his band was on fire? You think he just did that to spend all that money on tape to just sit there? 😒

Not to mention he would’ve killed for sly/James brown/Santana/Larry graham rehearsals. Prince was like us when he had access, he was watching bootlegs in the studio telling his band members “ y’all see that? That’s how you have to be on the stage, noooo mistakes” foh....with this bootleg forbidden nonsense. 😂

yup remastering crystal ball (actually in for this) and releasing his scrapped 2010-2011 album which was shelved for some reason

mind baffling decision that they chose diamonds and pearls over ANY of the revolution sets

one of the greatest artist to ever live.

im definitely in for the remaster too curious to hear that scrapped album as well

i'm glad Crystal Ball is getting a vinyl release especially since some of the tracks on the original print had some awful compression. But the new album and SDE is disappointing news. Nothing from the 80's

my personal preference is to release everything from the 70's/80's before moving on to the mediocre years. And if they are going to jump around, release a Piano & Microphone show already

they just googled "highest selling prince albums" and picked the first name they saw

if we're gonna go with a super deluxe from the 90s, i'd take Love Symbol or Gold Experience anyday. so much more interesting albums imo

YUP worst part, they chose the WORST possible era for music D&P is a pretty nice project and has great b-sides but damn it...

would've rather taken a SDE version of purple rain or something, i get they want to move beyond the 80s but why couldn't we of gotten a 70s boxset

so many other albums/eras that deserve the fan service that a super deluxe brings.

we need a 2021 remaster of Purple Rain. that 2017 remaster is so s***ty

agreed. truly a shame they're going from SOTT and a near perfect boxset to something most diehard fans aren't looking for, we've been asking for parade since the 1999 boxset
