that’s mind numbing to me. DAVID F***IKG BOWIE calling you the future of music off an album dropped when you were SEVENTEEN. That’s some unfuckwittable acclaim

She living up to it so far too

Been listening to this album a lot recently and wanted to have a thread to talk about it w people

This s*** is such a great album. I think we have a real identity crisis in Pop rn and to have a 16 year old write this album and come out with such a cohesive vision both for the album and for pop as a whole is wild. Super influential album

I wanna know ppls thoughts on it
What do you like what don’t you like
How do you rank the songs
    Is it better than Melodrama

    Check my post in help

Album slowly crept back in my rotation & what a beautiful project front to back. That David Bowie comment really f***s with my head, I can’t imagine the euphoria she must’ve felt, maybe even the immense pressure. Surreal stuff, thing of dreams.

The production & mix is insanely clean & minimalistic. I’m not too familiar with her career beginnings so I’m super curious on how she managed to get this level of sound at that young age.

Buzzcut Season is still my favourite after all of these years, has my favourite Lorde line:

    “Make-believe it’s hyper real,
but I live in a hologram with you”

she was on a development deal from a very young age iirc so she definitely had the resources
Joel little the producer is amazing at this synth pop stuff too
