the future, everybody gonna be focused in their niche for their to be mega stars. the ppl who will come the closest tbh is probably your reggaeton / latin artists. they’re gonna be the ones with the real star power
idk why people don’t get this. you don’t have to tune in to radio or mtv to hear music. now that people dictate what gets put on top, not labels, it’s been a revolving door of artists who blow up and then lose popularity. i don’t really see this changing anytime soon...
people think it’s a reflection on the quality of music, but the truth is it’s a reflection on our own limited attention spans in the modern era.
