Skinny fat people already have a normal level of body fat, their problem is lack of muscle
I started with 5x5 strong lifts but some are against it. I think it’s good and accessible for learning the basics but it’s not meant to be used long term

No problem
And make sure you start at the very beginning of StrongLifts. Don’t just jump into a higher weight because you want to hurry up and lift heavy. Form is crucial!
Also the bodybuilding thread could probably help you more than me so definitely check that out
Understand this: If you want to lose weight, burn more calories than you consume. If you want to gain weight, consume more calories than you burn. THAT’S it.
You can literally eat McDonalds 24/7 and sit on your ass all day as long as you’re burning more calories than you’re taking in. Is this the healthiest course of action? No.
In your case, if you’re looking to lose weight and become less sedentary, learn to track your calories. Use MyFitnessPal to track them. Just enter your height and weight, and it’ll tell you how many calories you need to eat to lose weight. Try not to lose more than 2 pounds per week. It’s tedious to start tracking whatever you eat, but once you start doing it, it’ll become second nature and you’ll be more mindful of how much food you’re eating.
You don’t need to do any stupid diets, drink any weird liquid, or eat at certain times through the day to lose weight (although, the methods listed MIGHT help). You simply need to burn more calories than you consume.
Take it slow if you're that big cause you'll end up with loose skin
Gain muscle at the same time
1) figure out what your tdee is
iifym.com/en-ca/macro-calculator
2) start tracking your calories religiously and eat at a caloric deficit
I like using fatsecret.com to log in my daily food journal
3)make sure you're getting 8-10k steps a day. You can subsitute this with playing ball or any other cardiovascular sport/workout you want
4)lift weights( I prefer full body 3x a week)
good luck man. You can get there in legit 1-1.5 year from now.
This dude really used this thread as lore / backstory for his Amazon one
ktt2.com/quit-my-reliable-office-job-to-work-for-amazon-got-screwed-32538817
He created a credible backstory to then run with it im fking dying
Get a bike and do Uber Eats or whatever the equivalent is in your city
Gets you out of the house and you can listen to podcasts or music while you're doing it
Happy to say that 1 year later I have dropped from 330 to 250!
