Resident Evil 4 garnered acclaim for its story, gameplay, graphics, voice acting, and characters, and is often named one of the best video games, winning multiple Game of the Year awards in 2005. It was ported to numerous formats, and became a cross-platform hit, selling more than 11 million copies. It influenced the evolution of the survival horror and third-person genres, popularizing the "over-the-shoulder" third-person view used in games such as Dead Space and The Last of Us.
And the remake just one ups everything. F***ing amazing game. I got RE4 Remak and the Deadspace Remake. I'm set until Jedi Survivor
Man the starting of this game is so hard. I'm on hardcore and I died literally 20 times at that scene when that dude gets burned at the alter. I literally stood there on my first try shooting and getting raped
they had a similar thing in resident evil 5 lmao A QTE where you punch a boulder was bugged and you needed superhuman speed A presses to do it. I got so mad tryna do that s*** as a teenager my eyes started watering out of anger
Lmao me and my friend had to restart so many times on that part . Felt like i was doing a beam struggle on dragon ball with the controller abuse
As a guy who’s played MANY games. There is nothing innovative, compelling or anything even done well in “the gameplay” to consider this a masterpiece.
Braindead AI, Corridor shooter style gameplay, terrible stealth, poor illusion of choice
You just seem like a troll who hasn't played the game
Multiple fellas ITT like the game and never played the original...
The castle area is one of the most atmospheric areas ever created in a video game....shyt is etched DEEP into my mind
I am saying him seeing people call it game of the year 10/10 and he played the other remakes going into this. He still going too far and baiting to be clear but some people playing it for the first time will get it . Others will come with too many preconceived notions. He talking about more sandbox and more stealth which I have said is more last of us 2 like and this is not that or trying to be that.
I’m actually happy starfield got pushed back . I can space out my game time cause it’s too much s*** dropping this year
There is a lot of s*** dropping this year
Lmao me and my friend had to restart so many times on that part . Felt like i was doing a beam struggle on dragon ball with the controller abuse
The s*** really almost stopped me from beating the game
But it’s not innovative enough in 2023.
This game does nothing particularly well from others in the same genre. Even other RE games are more creative in their gameplay/AI
DUDE its a remake LOL. It's not suppose to innovate gaming fully!
You just seem like a troll who hasn't played the game
Gamefly still exists for people like him lol. Mf expects us to listen to his 2 day long therapy session itt because he feels like he wasted $70
DUDE its a remake LOL. It's not suppose to innovate gaming fully!
he more triggered by game of the year 10/10 reviews
holy F*** the Mendez fight was insane one of the best bosses in the whole RE franchise easily
he more triggered by game of the year 10/10 reviews
he gon be hurt by the time game awards come then cause this is sweeping every category.

lol I am not as triggered as him but in general I do like when non remakes win things because a reamake or remaster winning means new IPs s*** the bed
Hoping starfield, Final fantasy, street fighter, diablo, zelda deliver. Won't be mad if this wins game of the year but s*** would be wild

starfield combat already looks worse than most ps2 games so im worried about that one lol
the sound design in this is f***ing horrific (in a good way). playing with headphones is almost impossible
the way they have the voices, sounds, grunts etc of everything including nature sounds RIGHT in your ear as if they're right next to you makes it impossible to know what direction the enemy is coming from, how far they are, and ultimately where you should run to.
Just one lil thing I noticed. I've never experienced anything like this in a horror game. it's mixed so f***ing well in the audio tracks for the game, playing with a surround sound must be crazy

tbf that zelda game prob gon win everything anyways lol

Every time a remotely good game has dropped this year the review or discourse has been game of the year lol hifi rush, hogwarts legacy, re4 remake. He going to have to get used to hearing hyperbole

Eh it’s not supposed to be doom eternal, what makes the combat in Bethesda games work is how much you can meld your own experience by getting skills, perks, upgrades, etc. and having hundreds of types of weapons at your disposal. No ps2 game is like that. What you probably mean is that the controls look simplistic, and yeah I guess that’s true. With additional tools like the jet pack and other stuff we haven’t seen it could be more interesting though. We’ll see.
