This really is the most balanced RE formula ever. A lot of people said that original re 4 was like catching lightning in a bottle from capcom. And they did it again with this remake.

Idk what it is about the scary stuff mixed with the goofy stuff. But this game just gets that perfectly. And it’s not liked the first person didn’t work for re7-8.

Maybe it’s the parts in the chapters where you fight a mob then you escape , then you have to fight a boss , thinking you just caught your breathe . 4 did that more than any re game tbh

Facts, the level of tension that this game is able to generate is one of a kind. Nothing else I’ve played has been able to replicate it

Almost done with the original and it's amazing to see how many games were influenced by it Especially Bloodborne, the games have similar vibes in enemy and sound designs even though the combat is so different. I knew RE4 was universally praised and respected but I didn't know it had this kind of influence. Even the berserkers from Gears of War are basically RE4's prisoners

Honestly I f***ed up and got overzealous with the saves I definitely didn’t need that many but by the time I got to Mendez I was playing on a save that already had 5 saves and didn’t want to repeat that far back chainsaw sisters were f***ing annoying.

Now I’m f***ing stuck on the first garrador this mfer took 6 magnum shots to the back and STILL won’t go down like cmon bro this pro difficulty is just dumb fr

Nah, I felt like they were cheating me tbh I was in that room ducking and weaving, using every health item I had for what felt like way more than 4 minutes. I left the room to see if there was another nitrogen tank somewhere and as soon as I entered that passage, the elevator arrived and I just turned right back around I didn't know I was actually damaging him when shooting while he's frozen, I thought it was just to slow him down

There's been a few moments where I wasted too many resources and should probably die on purpose to do it better. But I don't want to go through the whole fight again so I just push through
