Damn I remember downloading this from dopehood.com on my iPad in high school and s*** was just amazing. That whole 2011 era was something else man, opened a whole era of music. Probably the most special album to me growing up. Legendary
Album was the turning point of my life. I remember listening to it and trying to put all my high school Homies on and they clowned me for it. Next day They wasn’t there friend no more :
The promo for this album was dope as hell. Sxn80 was the project that forced me to go see a rapper in person (not from my city) for the first time. I was anticipating it since Overly Dedicated dropped. One of my favorite albums ever. It aged better than all of kendricks s*** imo
Good good now that this thread has been made can we talk about the fact that this project is better than Damn?

It's not better but why use today for that when we celebrating.

That is celebrating it. Incredibly underrated project in his discography in the grand scheme of his albums.
classic. This and habits + contradictions are such a satisfying conclusion to the indie TDE era
Thanks for posting OP. Vivid memories of my 2011 freshman year in college & hot boxing so many cars to this album you just knew he was next up after hearing this

Facts it’s my #1 Kendrick album too. So so good
Classic just like the rest of his albums
Crazy how this is becoming more factual with time
