Hell yeah it is u big trippin.
His skill, beats, concepts, inflections & structure way better.
KLEP is cool for history & memories sake but nowadays u can def see him still developing, figuring stuff out n getting fully comfortable on there for the most part.
Love UU but the soulful sound on KLEP is special to me and it has great rapping and it's pretty vulnerable at the same time, has some great concepts like Vanity Slaves too
But yeah watching the progress is amazing, I just think people don't want to give more credit to his early work because he wasn't as known but some of it still holds up and it would've probably received more love if it was released today
I remember discovering Kendrick in 2011 and my older friend showing me Rigarmortus, I was in like 8th grade. I just remember watching the music video and being mesmerized and listening to that song every day on my mp3 player and memorizing all the words and trying to rap the entire last verse. That time period right before Swimming Pools came out was so special.
My favorite songs are Hol' Up, Blow My High, Ab Souls Outro & Rigarmortus
Same bro I was going into 9th grade and no knew who he was, and me and friends would skate all day listening to this s***. Seeing him in concert like a month before GKMC was crazy. It was a small club here in Tampa, and it was cult type crowd and years later he came back on some stadium status
Love this album

Classic... I was on tour in a van with my bro’s at the time (instead of going to college I started a rap group and we actually made some moves, how I got into engineering)
I remember being in the back of the van with my headphones on trippin balls
When I tried to explain to the bros what I experienced it was like I seen a ghost.
Then we threw it in the aux and everybody went crazy. I knew right then he was the chosen one and was destined for a goat rap career. I thought S80 might end up being hard for him to top but boy was I wrong...
A lot of hip hop fans in their 30s really believe s80 is his best album

29 here and kendrick fan since s80
You can't choose a best, GKMC when it dropped was probably one of the most inspirational, game changing albums in a long time in the rap industry. S80-DAMN he is flawless so far.
