missed a sale where the steelbook edition was $30 off for a day because i was tracking the standard edition imma go check out the store in person tmr hopefully they have some copies lying around

i think the previous games had level scaling (could be wrong on this), but it's crazy noticeable in smt v. later on in the game, i was wondering why cleopatra had like 60 magic, and was doing a third of what my other demons were doing, even though she had a higher magic stat than them.

i get the idea behind it, but it is one of the very few things in this game that i find pretty lame. don't think it's a huge issue, but wish it was done away with entirely. when i did the superboss fight at lvl 99, it was way easier than it was at like 91 when i gave it my first attempt.

Fellas what yall think about that leak that said SMT V is coming to playstation and pc?

At this point smt v on pc is highly likely given the geforce now leak and Nintendo's history with 3rd party exclusives, probably a year from now it'll be on steam. I doubt its coming for ps4 for now tho, with octopath traveler, bravely default 2, mh stories 2, they came to pc but not to ps4 so that leads me to believe its not happening

beat it the other day, got the hidden ending and everything. pretty disappointed in the entire 2nd half ngl it just went nowhere, not that lack of a story is anything new for mainline smt i just really wanted more ig. first half dope tho

i went into this game thinking that the story would be mid based off what i heard but what i got mightve been even worse than that - a f***ing amazing premise that falls flat in the final stretch

i ended up aligning with the law ending since i got careless mashing through cutscenes and i hated that s***, the law rep in this game is such a clown lmao. definitely wouldve wanted to do chaos ending first but the juicy bonuses you get for going with your alignment were too good to pass up - fusing demons like metatron and beezlebub at player level 80 is crazy, if you just wanna break the endgame then law is the route to pick

the game itself was good af, probably in my top 10 jprgs

First SMT game and I’m loving it so far!! Started out on hard mode but damn is it hard, even regular encounters are murdering me. I kind of want to change it to normal mode but I don’t want the game to become to easy and regret it.

What do y’all suggest? I’ve played persona 5 so I’m kinda familiar with the demon fusion system

i'd just go on normal for your first smt game. this is probably the easiest smt mainline game, but you still gotta be aware of what you're doing in fights. regardless of if you drop the difficulty or not, just abuse magatsuhi & the elemental dampeners in boss fights, buff/debuff as much as you can, and you're set.

Always played persona but this is my first smt mainline game.

Hydra beat my ass like 5 times on hard. Didn’t realize the dark dampener completely negates it’s magatsushi move till after a few tries.

Finally I got this last week, i remember the first reveal during the first Switch presentation in 2017 lol. Just started this last night (after I beat No More Heroes 3) n its a lot of fun, about 3 hours in rn.

Also this is definitely one of the best looking Switch games graphics wise. Up there with Astral Chain & Pokemon Snap 2.

Game drops to $40 on sale a few days after I cop it full price with all the DLC

Starting to reach the point where I’m getting a lil burnt out but I’m at the home stretch in the final area

Already put in over 60 hours and I’ve enjoyed the game a lot so far. Imma try to power through to the ending these next couple days.

One thought that kept entering my mind as I played tho: man I wish this was a more powerful console. I play 90% handheld and the texture pop in, frame rates sometimes, it’s just sad. Why can’t Nintendo just make a powerful console for once in their lives
