I’d say AM is probably slightly better for Hip Hop music in general but overall you wouldn’t miss too Much

Idk if AM has it now but I like how Spotify you can see what your friends are listening to and overall as far as third party apps Spotify is better (being able to post your most listened to stuff like KTT, other little neat data stuff you can do with your listening history)

I got a 6 month free trial atm. They have some things I like. The spatial audio is nice, but you can’t really enjoy it fully without the pro headphones.

I prefer Tidal overall. Tidal has a lot of mixtapes and loosies that aren’t available on AM. AM on the other hand has a lot more of my “weird/alt music” available to me when I get into that bag. Like a lotta anime opening songs, and krnb.

Also the suggested music Tidal recommends are usually some dope s***. Like it got me into Lianne La Havas. Would’ve never found her music on my own tbfh.

You can add any audio file you want to your AM library

the only con of Spotify is the local file system kinda sucks, everything else is better imo.

Spotify’s library function sucks outside of the fact that albums and songs are separate

yea am support for local files is unparalleled. lossless and dolby atmos features are killer too.

only real advantage of spotify is better auto playlists, but if ur the kind of person who relies on AI to spoonfeed u new music, ur already losing😹

I thought Dolby audio was a gimmick

Tbh I haven’t downloaded or actually owned any music files in years. I have like 700-800 songs in an old iPad nano that I downloaded over limewire or frostwire years ago that’s about it.

Damn I’m tempted to switch back to AM now lol

    Apple Music, by far imo

-already integrated into iPhones (easier to share, sync, and manage across all os devices)
-best offline/download library integration. So anything that isn’t on Apple Music can be added seamlessly to your library
    -way cleaner UI imo
-rare instances of Very good Apple Music exclusives (Donda, frank ocean - endless)
-newly integrated lossless sound quality ( Dolby atoms) for FREE

Eh once engineers and hardware catches up to the style it’ll be more than a gimmick

Stereo audio was considered a gimmick when it first came out

Had AM since like 2017. No reason for me to switch to Spotify. Platform and UI are super easy.
