I thought Dolby audio was a gimmick
It is & ruins a lot of classic records since theyre not set up like modern digital music
Work better for more modern stuff tho, talking like the last 5 or 7 years
Doesn’t Spotify have a lower limit on the # of songs you can have in your library?
I thought I heard that somewhere on here
apple music web version is atrocious
but i just cant put up with the absence of library on spotify, so i mix it up for different devices
Eh once engineers and hardware catches up to the style it’ll be more than a gimmick
Stereo audio was considered a gimmick when it first came out
What is Dolby audio supposed to be simply?
Also iOS15 is gonna have this sick thing where it matches pictures in ur library with songs you were listening to at the time
I thought Dolby audio was a gimmick
i mean the dolby stuff does make a difference but it's only available for like a few albums and its rlly a personal thing whether or not it makes it wound better.
lossless implementation is legit tho, that makes a difference for sure

Stereo audio was considered a gimmick when it first came out
Its just rearanged track outs for the most part
Way different from stereo
Apple Music UI on MacOS suuucks. Is it any different on iOS?
Obviously
Overall the app could use major optimization work everywhere and they need to stop rolling out updates with iOS versions and update it on its own
Streaming hierarchy is

Literally the only thing spotify has going for it is that you can listen to it for free (with ads )
What is Dolby audio supposed to be simply?
like stereo but way more 3d
rn most stuff is just like panned left or right on a straight line. atmos lets u put sounds in like specific spaces, so it sounds like one guitar is coming from the front right side and the other is behind u on ur left.
I just added it to my iTunes and it's been pretty annoying to integrate nice to not have to pirate or buy everything anymore tho
Don’t really hear much of a difference with Dolby audio in AM tbh. Maybe because most songs aren’t recorded with it? Idk the technical engineering process and I won’t pretend to be an audiophile.
There was one guy on here that made a thread about $1200 earbuds he bought and was a huge audiophile that was really knowledgeable about that stuff.
I think you need like the over ear max Apple max headphones to even hear the difference. Cause even with the AirPod pros it sounds great, but I don’t think I could tell the difference between Dolby audio and just lossless when it comes to music. For like tv sound systems n soundbar setups when i comes to tv shows n movies I can

Alone Again by the Weeknd is the biggest one where I could tell
I thought tidal was dead tbh
A lot of these new features you see getting adopted on AM and Spotify, Tidal has already had for years
What is Dolby audio supposed to be simply?
Its mainly rearranged track outs (the individual recorded parts that make up the audio session) of a song with some maybe remixed elements.
Its why its worst or harder on older stuff because they usually dont have as many individual files or arent as flexible.
