Only when you know every song is it okay to shuffle. I would never on first or even fifth listen
albums should be played in sequence BUT i will put an album I love on shuffle a few listens in just to start embracing the songs individually

I listened to the Weeknd mixtapes on shuffle first listen and it was some of the best listening experiences
Trilogy as a whole is one of the only albums I ever play on shuffle. Its really great that way.

now this is interesting only cause those mixtapes are gapless plays for the most part. you miss out on all the great transitions and segues between tracks.
but i'm sure it's good on shuffle too, the music they were making then was so meticulously crafted so i wouldn't doubt it.
