I flew in for it. Was incredible.
whew yea looks insane. did Slauson join L'Rain's band?? L'Rain @ LGW was honestly a top 10 gig for me
looks like I will see Jasper twice in two days this LGW
edit: both performances were highlights of a v stacked festival
whoa hype for this, entirely produced by BBNG w Slauson featuring on one track. 2023 tho ...
I’m still bumping the Crater Speak EP super regularly, I need more from this human. Legit one of my favorite releases of the past couple years.
Slauson signed with Warp! new music #soon 🤫
also opening on East Coast w/ King Krule (he's opened for him b4 years ago as part of SOTC..)
The song I can make you feel freedom came on radio shuffle for me really like it. Is this guy a producer or something. Also is the book interesting and actually available somewhere?

yup well experimental artist/ producer. came from both a experimental jazz band (Standing on the Corner also highly recommended) and producing for rappers (Medslaus project, very mad beats also). Now more of a solo artist.
the book is like an art book/ research collection of very different things and ideas which inspired the music also
from e-mail newsletter lol:
This week, historic London-based independent label Warp Records and multidisciplinary musical arthouse conglomerate jMedia announce a groundbreaking new partnership.
Of the partnership, Warp Records says "We're elated to be working with Slauson Malone 1 at Warp - we support and believe in Jasper's vision wholeheartedly and can't wait for what's to come."
Slauson Malone 1 is the musical project and performance piece of artist Jasper Marsalis.
Slauson Malone 1’s signing with Warp Records unleashes the highly-awaited next chapter of artistic output from Marsalis, succeeding his two prior musical releases 2019’s A Quiet Farwell, 2016-2018 (Crater Speak) and 2020’s Vergangenheitsbewältigung (Crater Speak), about which Rate Your Music user SendTrackOne wrote: “This is not a straightforward work of art, nor is it a hopeful one, yet Malone’s stripped-down collection of recapitulations is nonetheless compelling in its blatant need to exist.”
Crater Speak release from 2020 is legit one of my favorite things of the past few years and I revisit it still to this day. I wish we’d get another album asap.
