Gonna watch the full movie soon but I put this scene on and it spooked tf out of me
It’s not even the gore for me it’s the way art moves. Its so fast and animated, almost feels stop motion or roadrunner cartoons. That + the big smile + the screams of the victim is like
Yeah they’ve perfected Art’s movements and facial expressions in this. The rest of that scene that was cut off from the video shows his facial expressions even better as he silently starts busting out laughing when the mom discover’s the girl and finds out she’s still alive lol, she’s just a husk by that point but can still speak
On another note, the final girl in this movie is going down as one of the best ever. Holy f*** was she good in this. I’m betting a lot of people are trying to quickly make her costume for Halloween this year
I still think this one is worse
The Terrifier one is so drawn out and over the top it's cartoonish haha but I guess that's the point

Honestly I think the face drag kill in Dragged Across Concrete is the worst of any Zahler movies. But if you wanna see some really f***ed up deaths, you need to read his masterpiece script The Brigands of Rattleborge. It’s a western horror. It’s considered one of the greatest unproduced scripts ever, having sat atop the Black List before. Even though it’s ridiculously acclaimed, it hasn’t been made yet because it’s just too violent. So Zahler took a lot of story elements from the script and toned down the violence and made Bone Tomahawk.
It’s about a trio of ridiculously vile men who get a Native American tribe to summon a huge supernatural storm so that they can use it for cover one night while they torture/rape/murder/rob an entire town. Then the sheriff and a mysterious stranger go out to hunt them down for revenge.
The main villain’s death at the end is so over the top it’s incredible. Highly recommend reading the script. And the shocking opening scene is just wow
lmfaoooo @ this dream scene
Lmao that scene was so awesome though. I legit have had the clown cafe song stuck in my head all day.
Also the main girl is awesome but like distractingly sexy lmao. Had to be intentional from the way she dresses throughout lol. That girl is gonna be a f***ing star one day
Also do you feel like the runtime shows? The pacing is so quick it doesn’t feel like a 2.5 hour movie at all.
Also also, be sure to stay for the mid credits scene. It’s extremely important and is like 7 minutes long
Gonna watch this rn since i keep hearing s*** about it. Expecting a sharknado tier movie.

the runtime is fine, ur right the s*** flew by quick as hell.
the f***ing bleach & salt scene
one of the nastiest movies i have ever watched
Found that someone posted the first part of the death on YouTube. But just so you know, it somehow, SOMEHOW, gets even worse. It’s the scene that apparently had people actually having health problems because of it. Art has just started on her by the time that clip ends. And all this is happening to probably the nicest character in the movie
But it’s so over the top brutal and mean spirited it becomes absurdly dark comedy lol
I'm watching the entire movie rn
Edit: main actress fine af
Edit 2: man this s*** nasty af. I'm def not the target audience for this.
Idk how anybody can get scared from this s*** and not just laugh. I'm someone that has watched beheadings since 2000 and this s*** looks so damn fake I bust out laughing. I was intrigued when I seen topic title but once again busted out laughing when I seen it.

This is more silly then scary lol
Will say its nice for a movie to have practical effects over cgi. Made the movie that much more visceral. Gave it that og slasher flick feel. Shouts out to the prod team.
Saw this last night and it's miles better than the first one. Honestly thought the first one was pretty bad outside of the effects, but this one was aa big jump in quality. Only thing was my theater was legit packed with annoying ass teenagers talking through literally the entire movie and using their phones on f***ing max brightness. I was like they obviously weren't checking ID's for this lol

Movie theaters checking for IDs
Movie theaters checking for IDs
I've seen theaters check ID's, I remember when I saw the wolf of wall street they checked mine lol. And tbh it should be done more so I could have watched this movie in peace without a group of 16 year olds with tik tok haircuts behind me saying s*** like "nahhh he wild fr" in my ear while someone gets their head cut off

You still gonna get those same kids when they buy tickets to a different movie and just walk into yours

Yeah that's true, I should have figured a horror movie on saturday night would be like that though
