Views is the most a drake verse has ever underwhelmed me in history

It’s not a terrible verse but that was one of the best beats he’s had in his career and he didn’t live up to it at all

If Views had top tier rapping it would be Tuscan Leather level

That’s how bad Drake fumbled that one

Redemption, Fire & Desire and Views being subpar is wild to me.

But hey we all have our preferences

Drake R&B since IYRTITL been his weakest point to me.

He’s had a fair share of great R&B songs still (Not You Too, KTFC, Peak) but majority to me are misses

The fact that no one has mentioned a single caribbean influenced track is shocking to me.

I mean there wasn't much R&B on IYRTITL or NWTS. imo a lot of the R&B cuts on Scorpion and More Life are heat (Peak, Jaded, Finesse, Nothings Into Somethings, Teenage Fever, Since Way Back)

Boi1da also worked on it. My thing is that, the production was so minimal on it and I was expecting the complete opposite. I understand its purpose though. its supposed to be less busy for you to focus on what Drake's saying and turn down the energy a bit.

Jungle arguably his best R&B track to me, WNI (obviously not him) is hard, Own It is great if you skip the first minute lol

And tbh I have a different opinion of those More Life and Scorpion tracks. Peak is top tier, Jaded and Finesse are solid, Nothings Into Something’s and Since Way Back are terrible to me. Teenage Fever is bad to me as well

I much prefer he only includes 1-2 r&b tracks on his album by just choosing his absolute best one he made that era, release the rest as loosies if he wants. But 4-5 R&B tracks on a drake album is just too much and I’m bound to not enjoy at least half

The rapping/lyrics aren’t bad per say but he does the minimum to ensure its a good song, if it was an average beat I would think that’s a subpar song but the phenomenal production makes it a good song to me
