I don't think centralizing power is ever good, and the socialism I think you support requires this. I'm a socialist in the sense I think people should help each other, but more in the libertarian socialist stance, where things are more community based

What I was referring to your political illiteracy is that you're asking questions of your constituents, but writing off the answers from certain people. You also already said you arent concerned with the subject. If you dont care, the only question is why dont you care. You said you just want to make money and do what you love. I cannot make you want to a***yze things or come to care about this. The failings of capitalism are all around us. If you dont care to learn about them, which is what you've said, then any discussion is pointless

A lot of it is pretty intimidating. I'm not stupid by any means, but sometimes I feel like I'm not smart enough to understand a lot of the theory. I've read Fundamentals of Communism, which is pretty straightforward and easy to understand. Then The Communist Manifesto, which was also pretty easy. Then I tried to read Das Kapital and was like f*** this. It made my head hurt. I also have a hard time retaining the information that I read. I'll be reading and stuff will make sense while I'm reading it, but a few weeks down the line I may only remember bits and pieces.

I also think that it would be disingenuous to call myself one, because while socialism sounds right to me, I don't actually do any type of organizing. I spend most of my time at work, and when I'm not doing that, I'm spending time with my family or at home. I don't know any other people that really share my political ideals. Most of the people in my life are either apolitical or liberals.

If all you are concerned about is making your money then idk what to tell you..Also we dont have to pretend you dont have posts regarding owning property and being a business owner. It's almost obvious as to why you wouldn't be a socialist. If you're truly ignorant to the failings of capitalism then perhaps you can learn and be better.
