Your mistake was playing it on Switch

Ngl other playable characters isn’t a priority for me. Not necessarily a bad call, but as someone who is big on visuals, I want them to polish the extremely janky animations first. The rail switching, wall jumping, some mid air animations, midair running, and stage finishing animations are some of the worst offending ones.

Adding NEW characters with the same half assed, lackluster polish would just be… a weird move imo.

Hell I’d be perfectly fine with new characters if animation updates came afterwards for some weird reason. It’s clearly a selling promotion in that tweet so they probably wouldn’t mention ‘updated animations’ anyway

i have a hard time believing any of these titans are stronger than dark gaia or perfect chaos.

but tails doubted super sonic's ability to kill titan 3. so..

little vocal samples in that song hit me in the feels i got no clue why

I won’t lie I’m really glad I bought this game on the series s too once I got one I wasn’t gonna cus I already had the switch version but nah playing this in 60fps is really wild they actually got sonics controls down amazingly in this game

And it still looks good too sometimes I’ll switch it to 30fps/better gfx mode just cus it really does make the environments more beautiful

But the performance mode is insane like the fact u can weave in n out the trees in the forest parts of rhea/ouranos w blue boost is ridiculous

i just dive thru most of it and skip most of the Death egg zone loopy rings unless i can't

i think this game is tryin to do a lot more with lore than what's verbally provided in the game

i was replaying sa2 the other day and once i got to the Ark stages i was kinda like architecture reminding me of the Ancients' architecture in frontiers

then i played thru Cannons Core and the design elements they got for when the Ark is goin ballistic is straight up paralleled by the designs in frontiers. like cannons core even has that kinda cybernetic-flowing-element like you see all over frontiers w/ the cyberspace portals and the walls u can climb on

and the materials used for the walls got that same kinda design too. it's got that same iridescent purple/blue color you see in a lot of the ancients' materials and the zigzaggy line patterns

From the echidna architecture/chaos cloning going on in the ark, yeah looks something like that.

i haven't beaten the game but i think its alluding to the pre-chaos looking beings being some sort of precursor to the chaos as well as the echidna civilization right?

also damn the game falls off so hard after world 2. i had it at an 8 before chaos island. but then the next being a gimmick island, the last being just the first one again

I managed to get it after a couple more tries tbh but holy s*** there was absolutely no need for it to be THAT difficult

The only thing they have "over" them is being able to fly but yeah neither stiked me as imposing as either of those two. They all seemed around Metal Overlord level (who Super Sonic needed Tails and Knuckles to defeat)
